A remarkable discovery! In clearing a storage unit @AtomMakers found 2 crates of John Thorp’s original design drawings of his 1908 Old London models. These will need thorough cleaning before they are added to the archive’s collection but here is a small sneak peak of some of them
The 1936 model of Bristol Town Hall. By this period, it is fair to say that models were made by 'John B. Thorp' the company, as with John himself over 70, his team of almost 30 modelmakers were busy making models such as this under his supervision.
Delighted to see Thorp owner @AtomMakers returning to the purpose built Thorp Building in Sumningdale. John Thorp’s legacy lives on in this state of the art modelmaking workshop. https://t.co/xOwwahXFqS
A wonderful day welcoming Nick Mines and Alec Saunders from Atom to view the Thorp Archive. Atom purchased Thorp in 1995 and have kept John Thorp’s incredible legacy alive ever since. 140 years this year!
Wayne Shorter, my best friend, left us with courage in his heart, love and compassion for all, and a seeking spirit for the eternal future. He was ready for his rebirth. As it is with every human being, he is irreplaceable . . .
Good riddance Suella Braverman. Now let’s get rid of the rest of the incompetent chancers squatting in government and humiliating Britain on the world stage 👋🏿

"If the suggestion is that we can have a king, or we can have free speech, then millions of us will say 'I'll have free speech, thanks'"
