While this might be true, you need to ask yourself one question. Why are foreigners not coming to Naija to work the lowest jobs? The reason most Nigerians, myself included, travel and took shitty first jobs was because our skills on paper doesn't transfer (blame your govt btw).

I've seen doctors in Naija come here and start from zero as cab drivers. They gladly do that because they know how much of a failed government the Nigerian government is when a cab driver in the U.S. has better economic power than a Nigerian doctor. They know that starting from zero and working diligently will still have them better off in a decade than if they had stayed in Naija.

So while you try to console yourself about Nigerians going to foreign countries and starting from zero. Ask yourself this, if we compared a Nigerian in the diaspora to a Nigerian in the motherland, if given the same careers, who will be better off in a decade?
