@KeonsBurner @spectatorindex I'm no expert, but apparently it's because the medium range zone is protected by local law enforcement, not secret service. So the zone is definitely seen as dangerous, but the local police are responsible for its security, whike secret service handles close range and anti-sniper

@Grebeper @NOELreports The ukranians getting trained generally aren't proper soldiers yet though. You can have 10 years of war, but if you're plucking civilions from the west, I'm sure a dutch trained soldier will know better

@nforss @StefanLundman @Osinttechnical Most of the F16 pilot training have been experienced pilots that got retrained to a different platform. Once you run out of those pilots, the timeline for getting new from-scratch pilots is really long.

Also maintainers are a bigger concern than pilots. Air platforms are hard

@StefanLundman @Osinttechnical It's highly likely unrelated. We've now donated so many F16s that it maxed out Ukrainian pilot/maintenance capabilities. It takes a long time to find/train extra personnel. It just didn't make sense to add an extra platform to maintain when they didn't have the capacity

The whole point of iron dome is that it's amazing at intercepting *short* range targets. I don't get why everyone associates everything about Israel's defense array with iron dome, but main anti-cruise/ballistic defense isn't iron dome

They are still working on the agreement. However the current format that is starting to become apparent is one where the party leaders aren't part of the cabinet, thus making it impossible for him to be prime minister.
