๐จ According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have started working on a deal for Andrea Cambiaso and are preparing an offer to begin negotiations for his signing. โ
Cambiaso has many of the same qualities as Joรฃo Cancelo, but he is stronger defensively. He is excellent on the ball, comfortable with both feet, and often drifts into midfield โ all traits that Cancelo possesses as well.
So you would have Cancelo capable of playing at both right-back and left-back, while Cambiaso can do exactly the same. Itโs an excellent duo, especially for coaches who like to change the teamโs shape quickly between defense and attack, and Hansi Flick is one of them.
Flick could also take advantage of this versatility by switching their positions several times during a game to exploit specific weaknesses in the opposition.
You woke up, had your bath, left your house and headed to the park. You left your local government, your state, and your entire region, traveled to another region, another state, another local government.
You stepped down from the bus and immediately demanded that the people there stop speaking their own language and speak English instead.
Some of you are already m@d, but you donโt even know it yet.
Dear Young Nigerians,
One lesson from the 2023 elections, particularly in Lagos, should never be forgotten.
In the period following the presidential election and leading up to the governorship election, we witnessed a troubling shift in public discourse. Conversations that should have focused on competence, governance, development, and the future of our nation were gradually diverted towards tribal sentiments, ethnic divisions, and unnecessary suspicion among citizens.
Many sincere and well-meaning Nigerians participated in these conversations without realising that they were being drawn into narratives carefully designed by others.
Throughout history, whenever politicians find it difficult to compete on ideas, performance, character, or vision, some resort to exploiting the fault lines of ethnicity, religion, and identity. Their calculation is simple: a divided people are easier to manipulate than a united people.
Today, I see similar efforts emerging again, sometimes in more subtle and sophisticated ways. Narratives are planted, amplified, and circulated, often by individuals who genuinely believe they are defending a worthy cause, without recognizing the broader agenda behind such campaigns.
Let me state clearly that Pastor Enoch Adeboye remains one of the foremost fathers of faith in our nation. For decades, he has consistently preached the virtues of peace, prayer, love, reconciliation, and national unity. Even when faced with provocation, his response has always reflected humility, restraint, wisdom, and grace.
At 84 years of age, it would be unfair for young and able-bodied Nigerians to transfer to him responsibilities that properly belong to them. The task of building a better Nigeria rests primarily on the shoulders of the younger generation. It is their duty to lead the conversations, champion the reforms, and drive the positive change our nation urgently requires.
We must be careful not to become instruments in the hands of those who secretly nurture division while publicly preaching unity. In most cases, their target is not the individual being attacked; instead, it is the person who is attacking. Their real objective is to weaken the bonds that hold us together as one people and one nation.
I therefore urge all young Nigerians: do not allow anyone to recruit you into hatred. Do not allow anyone to weaponise your ethnicity, your faith, or your admiration for respected leaders.
Question every narrative. Verify every claim. Follow the facts. Resist manipulation.
The Nigeria of our dreams can only be built by citizens who refuse to be divided, who choose unity over hatred, and who place our collective future above narrow interests.
A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
These useless people, once you're not from their tribe, you're a bandit to them. These guys don't even look like bandits; they are herders for God's sake.
They came for Wole Soyinka; you said he did wrong.
They came for Okoya and Otedola; you said they are Tinubuโs friends.
They came for Tunde Onakoya; you said he shouldnโt have visited Tinubu.
They came for Ojude Oba and our culture; you ignored.
Now they are here for your pastors, and you are angry.
If you guys don't ignite that civil unrest that you're dying to get you will not rest. Also is there no better strategy for you to woo people other than for making look like your enemy?
You served the country.
The problem is that a lot of you guys got into the armed forces through slot that was given to you and not by merit.
There are people who genuinely want to join the army to defend Nigeria with pride and patrioticism. No one force you to join the army.
Dear @DOlusegun, @iamnasboi is right.
I have served this country for 11 good years, yet I still cannot afford to buy a car or own an apartment for myself and my family.
Give me four reasons why I should be willing to die for this country.
I spent four years in Maiduguri fight
Nobody is asking Baba Adeboye to endorse Peter Obi, what people are just annoyed about was that he isn't as vocal as the time of Jonathan even though Tinubu is doing 10x worse than Jonathan.
Don't drag Peter Obi into this conversation at all.
You're a pathetic liar, I have a buddy back in Sec school. He was Igbo and all his Yoruba friends felt the heat from her mom. The hate was so loud that we don't go to their house but only play with him in school.
Your parent planted the hate seed in your guys.
I can speak for all Igbo people.
As an Igbo, growing up as a child, I can't remember when my parents ever spoke ill of other tribes or even refer to other people by their tribes.
They never asked us not to play with the Yoruba people or the Hausa people, they would only warn us not to mingle or play with any child they perceive is badly raised.
This is how a lot of Igbo children grew up.
Unfortunately parents from other tribes didn't raise their children this way. They even used slurs to mock some of their own who had traits like the Igbo people.
When President Tinubu removed Local Government Areas from the parasitic State Governments by granting councils full autonomy to manage their affairs and receive their allocations directly, it is on record that Governor Seyi Makinde openly criticised the move and vowed never to grant councils in Oyo State the autonomy they deserve. He said President Tinubu cannot sit in Abuja and tell him how to run councils in his state.
When the Federal Govt instructed councils across the federation to open dedicated bank accounts to receive their funds directly from the Central Bank, Gov. Makinde went to court to challenge the decision. To this day, the 3.0 man has continued to collect Local Government funds and distribute them piecemeal to struggling councils.
It ha just been revealed that in 34 months, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, where the unfortunate schoolchildren kidnapping occurred, got a staggering N16.3 billion in FAAC allocation but the money went to the State Govtโs purse. This humongous fund could have been useful to the agrarian community with a sizeable population, but Oriire LGA lacks proper roads, modern amenities and essential services to support spontaneous security operations.
Now, a security breach has occurred but Seyi Makinde suddenly remembered the community needed rice to address their concerns. Where is the N16.3 billion that could have fortified the Oriire community against the uncivilised invaders that took away its peace?
Well, this should serve as a wake-up call for all administrators who are crippling grassroots governance and diverting LGA funds into inappropriate uses.
When will Nigerians stop playing politics with innocent people's lives?
This selective outrage that a lot of people are exhibiting was what led to the failure of EndSars.
Just like the Money Heist series, people are starting to make a hero out of these Criminal Kidnappers.
Your brother's faith does not permit him to work in such establishment but he did based on his own personal volition. Your brother need to decide if he want to be a Muslim or An Adult.
My friend's brother applied for a job in a hotel and was given the role of a bartender. He was made to serve wine and was also told to shave his beards in order to fit into the organization.
He wasn't comfortable with it...
