NIGERIA’S FIRST IMPORTED EBOLA PATIENT EVACUATED TO SWITZERLAND

Nigeria’s Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, has confirmed the evacuation of the country’s first imported Ebola patient from Abuja to Switzerland earlier today.

In a statement on X, Pate said the patient was clinically improving, stable and conscious, but remained potentially infectious, requiring strict safety protocols during the evacuation.

He disclosed that the patient travelled alongside her spouse, who has remained asymptomatic, and commended healthcare workers for their efforts.

The Minister assured Nigerians that public health measures remain in place to contain the virus, urging citizens to remain vigilant and rely on credible information.

BREAKING: Federal Character Commission has called for the suspension of the ongoing recruitment exercise by the Nigeria Customs Service over alleged violations of federal character principles.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday, Abdulwasiu Bawa-Allah, Chairman of the FCC Financial Services Committee, disclosed that the commission was not invited to monitor the recruitment exercise.

@iamkadirii Im a 27 year old registered nurse from the university of ilorin. No medical issues whatsoever, never used any kind of drug, did documentation successfully and I still haven’t gotten an invite to customs training.
Nigeria has failed me after 2 years of hardwork for this job😭😭😮‍💨
