There comes a time when silence becomes ingratitude.

There comes a time when honour becomes a sacred duty.

There comes a time when sons and daughters must rise to celebrate the gifts that God has given to a generation.

This is such a time.

We refuse to be silent while men and women of eternal significance are reduced to headlines, controversies, and social media trends.

We refuse to stand by while those who have sacrificed decades in service to God and humanity are casually criticized by people who have built nothing, fathered nobody, planted no churches, and transformed no nations.

The sons and daughters of prophets must never be silent while cheap publicity seekers use great men as instruments for attention.

A generation that does not honour its fathers has no future.

A people who cannot recognize greatness in their midst will eventually suffer the tragedy of its absence.

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is not merely a church leader.

He is not merely a denomination head.

He is not merely a respected minister.

He is one of the most significant Christian leaders of our generation and one of the greatest spiritual gifts God has given to Africa and the global Church.

We should never allow a man who chose humility to become the chewing stick of the uninformed.

We should never permit the noise of critics to drown out the voice of history.

We should never watch while modern-day Sauls seek to intimidate, discredit, or silence God's servants.

One of the most difficult things in Nigeria today is the belief that Mr. President wakes up happy whenever these daredevils strike or that he is somehow comfortable seeing Nigerians killed, kidnapped, or displaced.

That thinking does not stand up to reason.

You can criticise the government. You can demand results. You can hold leaders accountable. In fact, you should. But let us not abandon common sense in the process.

When schoolchildren are abducted, farmers are attacked, or communities come under siege, do people honestly think the atmosphere inside Aso Rock is relaxed? Do they think the National Security Adviser is receiving congratulations? Do they think Service Chiefs are being applauded? Do they think the Inspector General of Police is not under pressure to deliver results?

No father is happy seeing children in the hands of kidnappers instead of teachers. No leader wants headlines filled with bloodshed and tragedy. The President knows that every major security failure ultimately lands on his table. The buck stops there.

Yes, many of us remember the old criticisms of previous administrations. We remember when President Bola Tinubu, as an opposition leader, argued that the government must take responsibility for insecurity. That principle remains true today. Leadership must be accountable.

But accountability and indifference are not the same thing.

There is a difference between a government struggling with a problem and a government pretending the problem does not exist.

Many Nigerians still remember the confusion that followed the Chibok schoolgirls' abduction in April 2014. There were disputes over facts, delays in official acknowledgment, and public disagreements between different levels of government. The nation watched as blame moved from one table to another.

What we are seeing today is different. The Federal Government has consistently acknowledged security threats, responded publicly, deployed resources, and is under intense pressure to produce results. Nigerians are right to expect more. Nigerians are right to demand quicker victories against bandits and terrorists. But it is unfair to suggest that the President is comfortable with the situation or unconcerned about the lives being lost.

Security is not solved through speeches. It is solved through intelligence, operations, logistics, funding, coordination, and difficult decisions that rarely make front-page headlines.

The truth is simple.

You can hold President Tinubu responsible because he is the Commander in Chief.

You can demand results because Nigerians deserve peace.

But do not confuse responsibility with wickedness.

No Nigerian President benefits from insecurity. The victims are Nigerians. The pressure is national. And the responsibility rests heavily on the shoulders of the man at the top.

The country wants results. The government knows it. The security agencies know it. And history will judge everyone by what they do next.

FOLLOWING FG VISIT TO OGBOMOSO COMMUNITIES, TINUBU APPROVES 1,000 FOREST GUARDS, DEPLOYS SPECIAL RESCUE TEAM, CONSIDERS MILITARY BASE REQUEST

A high-powered Federal Government delegation on Sunday, May 31, 2026, visited Esiele and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State following the abduction of pupils and teachers from Community Grammar School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School on May 15, 2026.

The delegation conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's deep concern over the incident and his commitment to securing the safe return of the victims.

As part of immediate measures to strengthen security in the area, President Tinubu has approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in Oyo State in collaboration with the state government.

The delegation also informed community leaders and lawmakers that their request for the establishment of a military base in the area would be conveyed to the President for consideration and approval.

In addition, the President has directed a specialized security unit with advanced rescue capabilities to intensify efforts to secure the release of the abducted pupils and teachers.

The delegation was led by the President's Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and included the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; the Inspector-General of Police; Tunji Disu; the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa; the Minister of Power, Dr. Joseph Tegbe and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare.

Addressing residents in both English and Yoruba, Gbajabiamila said the President's decision to dispatch the nation's top security leadership to the affected communities reflected his determination to deploy every available resource towards securing the victims' release.

"Mr. President is deeply troubled by this incident. Whatever it takes, our children and teachers will be brought back home safely. He has issued all necessary directives and is providing every support required by our security agencies to achieve that objective.

"Your pain and anxiety are understood. By the grace of God, your children will return safely to your arms.

"Mr. President also saw the appeals from some parents and community members urging caution in the rescue efforts. Let me assure you that the operation will be intelligence-led and carefully coordinated, deploying both kinetic and non-kinetic measures to secure the safe return of the victims," he said.

The delegation was also at the palace of the Soun of Ogbomoso land, HRM Kabiyesi Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye to commiserate with him and his people. The delegation also met with the wife of the deceased school Teacher, Mrs. Mary Oyedokun and her two children. Femi Gbajabiamila, delivered the President’s condolences with a promise that the family will not suffer.
