We have integrity issues in this country. A typical Nigerian looks forward to cheating his clients, employers, employees, or customers
Where did we go wrong?
Today, a buyer came with his mechanic to inspect a car I personally imported. The car was very clean, no issues. After checking everything, the mechanic pulled me aside and said before he could give his final approval to the buyer, I should give him 400k.
I was surprised, While he was still talking, another buyer who inspected the car yesterday sent full payment and confirmed pickup.
When I refused his request, the mechanic turned around and started telling his buyer that the car had issues. Unknown to him, the conversation was recorded. I played it for the buyer and then informed them the car had already been sold.
I had just insulted a client, who was on the call when I heard, โRasheed!, mute your micโ.
I wanted the ground to swallow me. My colleagues felt second hand embarrassment.
I started a coaching centre for poor kids who never went to school or dropped out. We charged 2k monthly {Monday to Friday}.
I started with 4 kids. We grew to 18. We kept growing.
We needed tables, chairs, reading materials, a rented property.
We were using an open space and was always at the mercy of rain and scorching sun.
Through the help of @BetyluvE we brought it to X.
@blessed4ever_10 quoted the post and promised to get back to us. He did. He sent @_MayowaSam to us. King bought 4 big tables, 24 plastic chairs, 3 big whiteboards, reading materials for all classes, etc and also paid the kids' fees for 10 good months.
King also got us a rented property by August. September 2024, we started a school for poor kids who never went to school or dropped out. We charge very low fees so parents can afford. We are located in Egbeda, Lagos State.
Last term/year, I made a post here and God used good and kind souls to support us.
We were able to set aside #350k for rent, bought uniforms and sport wears, organised end of the year party for the kids free and also bought gifts for them.
This term we need your support with the following to keep the school running as the little we get barely pay teachers' salaries and also take care of the school.
Then. Vs now

Our choices shape our legacy and our destiny. A life dedicated to Allah [swt] and full of barakah may be enriched and prolonged.
On the other hand, the scholars say that sin destroys the blessings of our years and our wealth on Earth. The choice between a fruitful, blessed life and a sinful one is always ours to make
What does it mean to โfeed the most vulnerable people around usโ? How did our beloved prophet ๏ทบ put this into practice, especially in the sacred months - Rajab, Sha'aban, and Ramadan? How can we follow in his footsteps?
Please prepare for your best Ramadan ever. Islam places kindness at the heart of worship. The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ said:
โAllah [swt] is kind and loves kindness in all matters.โ (Sahih Muslim). Please join us today. Together, let us make our brothers and sisters focus on their ib'adah and worry less about what to eat during Ramadan

When Joy Is Interrupted: A Mother, a Headache, and the Silence That Followed
I am so, so sorry for this familyโs loss, and I say this not only as a gynae doctor, but also as a mother, and as a woman who understands how childbirth is meant to end with light and laughter, and not with hospital corridors and whispered prayers. This is a story of joy interrupted, of life arriving and then leaving too soon. To Damilolaโs husband, her children, her mother and grandmother: there are no words strong enough for this kind of grief. To lose a wife, a daughter, a mother in the months after childbirth, when hope is supposed to be abundant, is a cruelty no family deserves. We mourn with you.
After childbirth, a womanโs body does not simply return to normal; it recalibrates. Hormones shift, blood volume changes, and rare but dangerous risks quietly rise. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is clear: severe or persistent headaches in the postpartum period are never normal. When doctors speak of โwater on the brain,โ they are often describing hydrocephalus, an abnormal build-up of cerebrospinal fluid around the brain. Postpartyum, this can occur because fluid drainage becomes blocked, or because of infection, inflammation, or blood clots in the brainโs veins (CVT-Cerebral Venous Thrombosis), a recognised risk after delivery.
As this fluid accumnulates, pressure inside the skull rises, and the body begins to speak in symptoms that are often misunderstood: headaches that do not ease, vomiting, visual disturbance, drowsiness. And if that pressure is not relieved in time, consciousness can fade, and coma can follow. Once scans confirm this diagnosis, urgent neurosurgery is not a failure, it is the correct and life-saving response, done to drain the fluid and give the brain room to breathe. The fact that surgery initially helped means there was hope, and that everything possible was being done.
But sometimes and this is the most heartbreaking truth even when pressure is relieved, the brain has already suffered injury that cannot be reversed. Prolonged swelling, inflammation, infection, or clotting can leave the brain unable to recover. In those moments, machines may sustain the body, but the person we love is already slipping away. This was not โjust a headache.โ It was not a simple migraine. It was a rare, catastrophic postpartum neurological emergency.
Damilola did nothing wrong. Her family did nothing wrong. This was a devastating medical complication that can unfold quietly and then cruelly, all at once. She should be here, holding her baby, guiding her older children, laughing with her husband, living the future she was promised. We grieve her, and we honour her. And we must keep saying this, again and again, so that other women may be saved: persistent headaches after childbirth are a medical emergency. To this family, you are not alone. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
