I'm getting surgery on the first day of March madness, so basically, I'll be getting the same amount of work done as I usually would on the opening weekend of the tournament.
@tyed1e The post-mix straight from the soundboard when they can edit down the crowd noise actually sounds good. But live mixing is just incredibly difficult
@tyed1e Not saying he doesn't deserve it. Just SB puts emphasis on the dancers etc. Too much movement and they don't sound the best they could. They are willing to sacrifice sound quality for the show, and it is noticeable in an arena. Just not the ideal situation for his music to shine.
@tyed1e Oh I agree, I'm not blaming him. Just not the environment that his type of music sounds good. It just seems like recent years the emphasis has been more on the performative side of it and less about achieving high quality music. Plenty of musicians can/do sound good in arenas tho
