None of the students that I've taught chemistry before would get scammed by this "prayer miracle"
There are many ways of doing this and one of the cheapest ways is to add small calcium carbide in the water. The ethyne gas produced in the reaction will cause this bubbling effect you see.
CaC₂ + 2H₂O → Ca(OH)₂ + C₂H₂
@45dcaliber@FotoNugget You're right. It should be written as "ṣ" (with a dot accent under "s"). The Yorùbá alphabet and orthography has no "sh".
- "ṣ" sounds almost like "sh"
- "s" sounds like the English "s".
For example, the name "ṣeun" is pronounced "Sheun" but spelled "Ṣeun".
@arojinle1 Defeated, not among the trees,
Pinched by the jugular,
The throes go on and on.
Unyielding, lifeless,
Her innocent child grips firm,
Unaware of death's silence.
Noisy, performative and unapologetically non-European: Nigeria welcomes a museum like no other
The John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos ‘pops with colour and sound’ in a dazzling departure from the colonial model.

3 Yoruba Prestigious Aso-oke
Sanyan: Among the Yoruba this cloth form is regarded as the king of cloths and exemplified in the saying ‘Sanyan baba aso’
(Sanyan is the king of cloths).
The fibre used for making this cloth is obtained from the cocoons of the Anaphe silk worm.
In 2019, Fred Pepperman, a 53-year-old father swam out to rescue his daughters when Grace (16), Olivia (20), and Kathryn (24) caught in a riptide on a Florida beach. When his daughters were saved, he felt unconscious. He died on his way to the hospital. His last words to them were “I got you.”
Cancel culture makes empathy feel like a crime.
Stan culture makes criticism sound like a taboo.
Both extremes of a madness spectrum, both growing alarmingly on Twitter & social media. Sad.
If you're going to date a single mom, endeavour to treat her child like your own. Children need a father. It is not the child's fault that the parents are not together and nobody forced you to date a single mom. Don't try to separate mother and daughter.
Yes, the child will look for the father years later to understand what happened with their mom but they will not forget who fathered them and how you treated them.
Children are the best of humanity. If you must be anything to a child, be kind.
A guy that drinks and a guy that doesn't drink were asked what influenced their position with alcohol.
1st guy: My father was a drunkard. I looked at him and knew I didn't want that for me.
2nd guy: My father drinks so I naturally took after him.
A polygamous man and a monogamous man were asked why they took that path.
Poly: My dad was polygamous. I didn't want that for me.
Mono: My dad was polygamous.
Do you understand where I am going now?
Your parents having a beautiful/toxic relationship does not guarantee you'll have one too. Being loved at home or not, will not determine the fate of your relationship. You'll have to decide for yourself what kind of relationship you want. You can use your environment as a lesson or an example. The choice is yours. You accept the love you think you deserve.
This also applies to how you raise kids. You can decide to copy your environment because you like how you were raised or disregard it because you loathe it. It is always a choice. Environment gives exposure but you are solely responsible for your choices.

In Yorubaland, money has never been foremost in Yoruba value system
In our value system money is number six
What are the first five you may ask?
1. The first is làákà’yè - The application of knowledge, wisdom & understanding... (Ogbón and ìmò òye)
