I know landmarks. Not street names.

@RossKneeDeep Make your own. Most of these places make such a bitter unpleasant roast in my opinion. I like a light or medium roast and then I can just doctor it up.

It’s funny, in an attempt to besmirch her legacy, you’re proving that you really don’t know her work. 😂 Nikki Giovanni’s work emphasized freedom, love, and authenticity. Her early work reflected the militancy of the Black Arts Movement and included sharp critiques of systemic racism, her perspectives evolved over time to focus on universal themes of equity, humanity, and personal freedom. She never espoused a general disdain for non-Black people in her work, so it’s no surprise that her personal life reflects the same openness. Her relationships, like her activism, remind us that love and self-expression transcend boundaries. Learn to distinguish genuine critique from hate and focus on her legacy in its ENTIRETY: equity, humanity, and the freedom to be unapologetically oneself.

@Nfrrr8580 I agree. Most people lead very segregated lives. I shouldn't assume but I do think that people like Nikki led a less segregated life due to her work. She fell for who she fell for. Most of us are only ever around people who look like us.

@TheMightyB____ @marsisbored The older you get, the more you learn about people, you learn to love the people who love you. Once you're old you just want to share your life with someone kind, who gets you.

@pennyelizabeths I ran into two big dogs and one tiny little dog in the home goods last weekend. I didn't have a problem because I love dogs but I did notice how irresponsible two of the owners were. You can have your dogs with you but keep them off of people.

@theereal_one People keep talking about slime. There really shouldn't be any slime on your chicken. If there is, you might want to try a different grocery store. I know what they mean and if there is a little bit of gelatinous liquid, a very quick rinse off and cold water will suffice.

.@GovParsonMO, please do not let Missouri execute
@innocence @the_MIP client #MarcellusWilliams, an innocent person — where there is overwhelming evidence that his trial was constitutionally unfair — on 9/24. https://t.co/NDRofPmVVx

There's no Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Janet etc. if it wasnt for a defiant little boy sneaking into his father's room, in spite of his fears, to practice his guitar. That kid changed the course of history and it isn't even an exaggeration.

@MamaSitaa__ I distinctly remember in third grade a girl being repeatedly told she couldn't go to the bathroom. I remember the stream of pee pouring onto the carpet from where she was seated. I also remember how embarrassed she looked as the kids laughed at her and how mad the teacher was.
