🏦 Iran will soon join the BRICS-backed New Development Bank, Iranian Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati said ahead of a BRICS finance meeting in India.
🔸Iran joined BRICS in 2024 and has since sought membership and a shareholding in the NDB, which finances infrastructure and sustainable-development projects.
🔸Tehran is also seeking expanded bilateral and trilateral monetary cooperation with BRICS countries, including trade conducted in national currencies.

Genocide means the intentional and systematic effort to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. It is recognised as an international crime under the United Nations Genocide Convention of 1948.
Decolonising Palestine; dismantling the Zionist entity; sending settlers home. These are all efforts to end genocide - not commit it. They do not target the settlers because they are Jews; they target the settlers because they are genocidal settler colonists who have demonstrated time after time, for more than one hundred and forty years, that they cannot be dissuaded from putting their genocidal ideology into practice.
Owen Jones cannot understand this because he is so deeply indoctrinated by Zionist assumptions, including, most obviously, the idea that any movement against Zionism is - ipso facto - a targeting of Jews.
Was the removal of the French Pieds Noirs from Algeria genocide?
Was the removal of settlers from 'Rhodesia' in the creation of Zimbabwe genocide?
Obviously not. Just as the defeat of the Nazis in Germany was not a genocide.
Grown-ups can tell the difference between targeting an ideology/practical movement and the targeting of a religion or 'race'.
Some of us, to quote Owen's own words, can walk and chew gum at the same time.
In Europe, journalists who criticise Israel and describe its actions as genocide often find themselves professionally exposed and institutionally unprotected. They are forced to choose between financial survival, journalistic integrity and peace of mind.
There is no internal war in Yemen; there is only Saudi aggression against Yemen and a Yemeni-Saudi war.
As for the Yemeni mercenaries affiliated with Saudi Arabia, they are merely tools and pawns of Saudi Arabia, bought with Saudi money.
Any military escalation against Yemen, whether by Saudi Arabia or its mercenaries, will be met with a response targeting Saudi Arabia, as it is Yemen's primary enemy and the funder and supporter of the mercenaries.

Soldiers film themselves inside a destroyed children’s room in Gaza, bragging about the destruction.
Even children’s rooms were turned into scenes of boasting.
"كان من الأفضل الموت كيهودي في الهولوكوست ."
هذه الشعارات رفعها اليهود الحريديم في مظاهرة ضد الحكومة الإسرائيلية لإجبارهم على التجنيد، وارتدى البعض النجمة الصفراء التي كان النازيون يجبرون اليهود على ارتدائها لتمييزهم عن الآخرين.
حتى اليهود المتشددون يرون في إسرائيل دولة أكثر عنصرية وإجراماً من النازية نفسها.

Piles of rubble can be seen everywhere on both sides of Road 6010 near the village of Aba, east of Jenin, in the occupied West Bank, after Israeli occupation forces demolished dozens of Palestinian businesses in the area this morning, in preparation for the reconstruction and renovation of the nearby Ganim settlement, which was dismantled in 2005.
From June 21 until August 11, UNIFIL recorded more than 1,700 instances of violations of Lebanese airspace by Israel – mostly by drones but also helicopters and fighter jets. Peacekeepers also detected more than 100 airstrikes. During the same period, peacekeepers reported more than 1,800 projectiles fired by the Israel Defense Force (IDF), striking multiple locations in south Lebanon. UNIFIL didn’t record any such projectiles fired by Hezbollah.
Israel’s UN Ambassador rejects the term “settler violence” and calls it an insult to their history, declaring: “Jews have never been and will never be settlers, and we are not going anywhere.”

🚨🐾 THE FOOD IS ALMOST GONE. THEY STILL WAIT FOR US.
After the ceasefire talks collapsed, the little stability we were holding onto vanished. Tonight, we counted every remaining handful of food. The shelves are nearly bare, yet dozens of rescued cats still gather, looking at us with the same trust believing we will somehow fill their bowls again. 🤍
Our children now help stretch every last portion, trying to hide their fear behind exhausted smiles. We are running out of time, but you can help carry this story farther. A share can reach someone who can help. A small act of kindness can become another meal, another safe night, another chance for these innocent souls. 🕊️🐾

There was a moment at a festival two days ago that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about.
Tens of thousands of people were watching as different artists came on stage. Then a Spanish singer appeared and performed a new song she had written for a little boy whose humanitarian asylum request had been rejected and who had been sent back to his country of origin.
For a few minutes, the festival became quiet enough for one child’s pain to fill the entire place.
Most people there had never met him. They did not know his family or his country. Yet they listened.
They felt something for him. And through a song, the suffering of a stranger became personal.
I found that deeply beautiful.
This is how empathy is supposed to work. We should not need to share someone’s nationality, religion, or history before their suffering can move us. Sometimes one story should be enough.
But standing there, surrounded by thousands of people moved by the fate of one child, I couldn’t stop thinking about the children of Gaza.
But a painful question kept returning to me:
Why was one story enough here, while Gaza needed a mountain of bodies to be believed?
For decades, Palestinians have tried to explain what it means to live without freedom, to lose homes, to bury children, to watch generations inherit the same fear.
And still, somehow, our suffering was endlessly debated, qualified, justified, doubted.
Then came this war.
More death. More orphaned children. More bodies beneath rubble. More parents carrying pieces of the lives they had built.
As if Gaza had been forced to keep producing evidence of its own suffering until the evidence became impossible to look at.
That is the contradiction I cannot escape.
I had just witnessed something beautiful: thousands of human beings opening their hearts to a child they had never met.
And at the very same time, I was thinking of a place that has spent generations begging the world for precisely that simple act of humanity.
Perhaps one song can make the world remember one child !
I only wish Gaza had never been forced to bury so many of its own before the world learned how to listen.
Humanity should never require this much evidence.
