I am 100% Pro-Life and will be voting against one of the ballot amendments this election cycle to enshrine abortion into the Virginia Constitution.

But I've worked in mainstream Conservative politics long enough to understand that this was an issue where the deeply held moral and theological passions of the American Right had been turned into a seemingly never-ending fundraising grift by a handful of consultants and influencers. They had ZERO plan for what to do the moment Roe v. Wade was actually overturned because the plan was never to overturn Roe at all.

The plan was to continue demanding money for a bill that will never pass Congress as long as the filibuster exists.
