I have a lockup full of catering equipment in central London that I’d love to donate to a homeless shelter food kitchen - fridges, catering tables, shelves, sinks etc. Does anyone have a good contact for someone who might be able to put to a good home?
If hospitality staff can’t get to work due to strikes, pay them anyway. Pay extra time to travel. Pay taxi fares. Wear the burden. Use your bargaining power & sway to support the fair demands of unionised workers. Strikes are inconvenient - that’s the point. Punch up, not down.
Support all striking unions! Hospitality staff stand in solidarity with the demands & rights of striking workers in the RMT, UCU, UWU, IWGB, CWU, healthcare workers unions, and anyone else willing to shoulder the burden of workers rights at their own personal cost.
Eddie Dempsey from the @RMTunion: "Its a bit of a cheek asking are trade unions being greedy asking for a pay rise. The FTSE 350 top companies profits have gone up 73% since 2019 - when are we going to ask are they being greedy?". Well said!👏🏽👏🏽
I don’t get a lot of one-on-one time with @michaelgove, but he does follow me. So with that in mind…
1) Is it true that you were made aware by Birmingham City Council and counter-terrorism police that the anonymous letter was a hoax before you launched the Clarke inquiry?
