@j1874t@Argyll_MI5@PeteWishart A vote for Yes in 2014 would have meant leaving the EU. The EU membership was held by the UK hence a Yes vote in Scotland would have meant leaving the EU. As usual with an SNP grievance, why let the truth get in the way of a good grievance.
@FionaOr73237291@Trickyc5@Argyll_MI5@PeteWishart Oil didn’t just go to Grangemouth to be refined. In any case, both governments, SNP & Labour sat back and let Grangemouth close, each happy to blame the other. You do realise that we’ll import oil and gas from abroad rather than use our own resources regardless of Grangemouth.
@Trickyc5@Argyll_MI5@PeteWishart Then do something about it - open these untapped fields instead of kow-towing to the Greens. Instead of moaning about a material change do something positive about it. You’re supposed to govern for the whole of Scotland not just the SNP and Greens.
@Argyll_MI5@PeteWishart They’ll want a referendum every couple of years until they get the result they want. They say things have materially changed since 2014 - yes after 20 years of SNP incompetence things sure have changed for the worse. SNP love nothing more than the gravy train.
@ketaminedrams Thanks for clarifying but my underlying points still stand. For both bodies (why does a small nation need 2 anyway) they’re only interested in the OF, keeping them happy and bringing them in cash. They couldn’t care less about fans of all the other teams.
@NaylorHafc2 SFA are clueless. They regularly do this for re-organised games. Only surprise here was that they didn’t wait until the middle of winter to send them up. They’re not interested in the fans - only got time to cushion the OF and their tv deal and qualify for EC’s & World Cups.
@scottish_water Hi, The cold water at Alexander Balfour Gardens in Hamilton is dark brown. Postcode ML3 6SS. Is there a problem in the area you’re aware of?
@phase_3_dream@rosssco81@thomsonchris No research necessary as it’s all hot air and no action being taken by anyone, especially the UN. If there was I’m sure you’d answer my question rather than the usual nonsense where you tell me to ‘do my own research’.
@PeteWishart@NoteTaker_X Are you referring to the resources that are owned and run by privatised companies operating in the UK market? In relation to creativity and skills - surely this can be encouraged whether independent or not?
@RepublicanSons@lewinsy@JohnSwinney But Scotland doesn’t generate any energy - it’s all done by private companies. So the SNP should be honest and explain how they’d lower energy bills and what it would cost instead of picking another grievance with Westminster.
@JohnSwinney Interesting that you haven’t explained how your ‘fag packet’ policy would be implemented to lower energy bills. As you’re aware, Scotland doesn’t generate any electricity - it’s done by private companies. But hey, why let truth get in the way of a good story.
@StephenShilton@AcciesColin So what’s your solution to our broken economy? How do you pay workers higher wages and avoid price increases at the till? Was brexit not a democratic decision by the British people rather than your opinion it was a bad decision?
@DiamondsAreRed1@SPFLWatch@BenFranklin2019 The evidence has been there for years. Yes the rules are the rules but did the SPFL not think something was amiss and should be investigated further after the first discretion. Their governance leaves a lot to be desired.
@SPFLWatch@BenFranklin2019 They banned them when all the damage was done. Accies fans have been shouting about the shenanigans for years. Just because it’s hard to create a regulatory framework doesn’t mean you don’t address it. Sums up the lazy attitude roaming the corridors at Hampden.
@SPFLWatch@BenFranklin2019 Did they hell. It’s all about their rules and fat salaries at the SFA and SPFL - sums up the ‘I’m alright Jack’ mentality living it up at Hampden. I doubt the ‘blazers’ are paying megabucks for the World Cup tickets in 2026. Rotten to the core.
@SPFLWatch@BenFranklin2019 Possibly not but the SFA and SPFL need to learn their own lessons from the Accies case. It’s not good enough to hide behind their rule books and dish out points deductions and fines. Accies fans have been shouting about the carry on for years but did the SFA and SPFL listen?
