I just feel it's important to acknowledge the reality.

I had the honor of being featured on CTV last night. There were some comments calling me out for "being yt", as a proud Ojibwe woman it threw me off a bit. The fact that I don't fit into imagined stereotyped appearances of Indigenous ppl does not make my identity any less valid.

I will not be ignored because I'm "too pale". I am so lucky to call @NeverPowerful my best friend. Her support and strength constantly help me through so many things.

Plus, I've got the credentials to prove I'm Indigenous. I should never have to prove it, but I have them. 🤷🏽‍♀️
