Iran stresses full implementation of Lebanon ceasefire commitment under MoU

🔹Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei emphasized that Iran insists on the full implementation of the first clause of the MoU on ending the imposed war, which requires cessation of Israeli military operations against Lebanon and withdrawal from all occupied territories.

🔹He recalled the explicit US commitment under the May 28, 2026 agreement, stressing that Washington must take all necessary measures to compel the Israeli regime to halt aggression against all Lebanese areas.

🔹Baghaei called for the swift determination of a timeline for unconditional withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories, adding that Tehran had prioritized Lebanon alongside Iran in both the April 8 ceasefire understanding and the May 28 MoU, and remains firm on their execution.

Had the pleasure to visit the historic Hawler Citadel, the Kurdish textile museum and walk the old Souq.

UNRWA plays key role in meeting needs & safeguarding the rights of Palestine refugees & in promoting stability in Jordan & region. @UNRWA is however critically underfunded. Therefore 🇳🇴 will increase its support. Today we saw the many challenges it faces in a visit to Jerash camp

Jordan is a genereous host to refugees from Syria. Visited Azraq camp with @NRC_MiddleEast and was impressed by the Syrian youth, women & men, and all dedicated humanitarian staff. Over ten years after the crisis, the hardhips are still challenging.
