It’s fascinating how quick people are to mention names like KJ and Jaguar whenever my leadership journey comes up yet they rarely acknowledge visionaries like my brother @BobiWine, with whom I’ve worked on projects across Kenya and Uganda, or global icons like George Weah and other creatives who turned their art into instruments of transformation. Leadership isn’t a comparison contest, it’s a calling born from lived experience, awareness, and a sense of purpose. Our journeys may differ, but our mission for change is one. Kibera will rise, not by chance, but by choice, by unity, and by vision. The future is local.

@piersmorgan Kufyatu has become a global pandemic, because githinji here in Kenye speaks without thinking just like you, they are all known for football and not looks.
If there is one war which the Kibaki regime lost spectacularly and consequently set the nation on a dangerous path, was the war on drugs. If you ever see any leader today(from the Medellin Cartel) known to be a drug dealer in any position of power, they got into politics between 2003 and 2013.
It was during that period when the Artur brothers could come into the country at will to pick and drop glucose of the nose, the Akasha brothers were ruling the coastal towns, senior police officers like Erastus Chemorei got murderer in cold blood to protect senior lords, Jicho Pevu was doing Paruwanja la mihadarati every month, and the minister of internal Security and his assistant minister conveniently killed in a chopper crash to protect names.
Na wale vijana mumemaliza shule juzi, mjue mambo si rahisi. Out here For some reason, the odds of failure are always greater than odds of success. In whatever endeavors you decide to indulge in,only few of you are going to succeed in the first trial. For the rest of you,you are going to need consistency and what we call Optimistic Delusion, the belief that the rains will pour on us even when there is no clouds at sight.
And you must prepare for another period of stagnancy, though not guaranteed, its there. I call it the Mudavadi season. Yani kuna wakati utakaa namna hii unaona kweli in the last 3 years I have made no improvement in my life. Umekaa tu ndee kama Mudavadi. Hujahama, hujanunua vyombo mpya,Woofer ilichomeka iko tu hapo, savings hakuna, uko tu. Na hapa ukichesa kuna kasaitan huwa inakunyemelea,it starts whispering suicide on your left year and drug abuse on your right one.
Then comes the stage of hopelessness, you feel you’re existing for the sake of just existing. Unaskia wengine wakisema by 2030 I want to have my own apartment, wewe ukijiangalia unaona kweli hauna goals. Uko tu. You just want to have money but you don’t even know where to start. You become very bitter, kwa mtandao unaona jamaa amenunua BMW amesema god did, unakasirika sana, juu unajua hiyo ni upus. Kuna kitu hasemi
Thats just how things are. Earth is hard. Ata kijana ya mulungu pale kwa kitabu ya Johnte kumi na sita alisema,Earth is hard. But take heart,You will overcome. Ni tujikaze tu wazee
