@FergieStandards If you sign the right players, they will be getting a huge pay rise to start with. 150Kx52 = 7.8M/player. So you could have 20 players on that and 'only' spend 156M+bonuses = 200M+. Add 25M for the very best paid at 250/week. If they are hungry, they'll go for it. Endlessly rich
@SwedishRumble It is virtually never '3 games a week' either. What United need are 22 players who can start any game, two in each position. Including a 2nd left-back.
Hi, @Lovable. What did you do in the last 12 hours that turned your system into an unreliable juvenile that will not listen, needs three instructions where one used to do it and then proceeds not to do as you are told?
@kevinhatchard Spot on. As a United fan, I actually for a moment (albeit brief) thought that it would be just as well if City had won the title, such is the level of wasting, cheating and boredom associated with Arsenal. Yes, they made the financial doping machine look nice
@TatticaPassata Football is alwayc cyclical. Someone succeeeds with a negative attitude for a while, then someone finds a way to get past them. How Saka must wish he played for the other side. Anti-football at its worst
@AnnemarieDray Mourinho at his peak would have been proud. The biggest bus ever parked in a final. PSG was poor, yet far, far better. How this team won the league is almost a mystery.
@SwedishRumble It does take more than 12 months to get away from the brink. Interesting, though, is that they manage this in a season with a minimum number of games and no European income. Next season will bring far higher income (costs will also rise).
@UnitedStandMUFC Wayne Rooney is showing himself to be one of the few intelligent ex-United pundits. Not because he's still a fan, but because he's MEASURED in his views.
@israel_ajoje People have too much time on their hands when they complain about this. 3 pm kick-offs used to be a 'tradition'. The UEFA 'tradition' was finals played mid-week, for 50 years. Time changes. Change with it.
@Malachians Completely agree. Unfortunately, idiots are everywhere. Which is something to consider when building a social media profile for a football-loving kid.
@AndyMitten@TheAthleticFC The issue is how these ex-players now line their pockets by spewing ignorant and negative analysis, as it drives traffic. Never mind Keane's constant bullyish behaviour as a pundit. Criticise, but do it based on facts (as you are able to yourself)
@StrettyDave He probably tried to do a Keane and decided a goal and an assist was not good enough for 90 minutes. Dorgu was one of the first signings of the new era. Very promising young Dane.
@StevenDonovan02 Makes a lot of sense to play at that level, if he gets to play. Do not know if Devaney is good enough, but he has certainly benefited from playing senior football.
@mufcacademy91@Izaan__7 Makes sense. You need to be ready for the physical level. Everyone in the Youth Cup final are far off (possibly with the exception of Kukonki), and U21 is not a level to prepare for PL, with some very few exceptions (Mainoo). Expect lots of loans before the season starts.
@henrywinter This England team may suffer the same fate as everyone post 1966: Over-hyped. English clubs are among the very best. Not because of English players, though. But if Tuchel can find the right combinations, and they have a bit of luck, of course they can go far
@centredevils The off field quality of the signings last summer are through the roof. Does it matter on the pitch? Maybe not. Or maybe that 1% when the team needs to play together as a team.
