NEW: South Korean think tank the Institute for National Security Strategy (INSS) released the full text of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK)'s revised Charter on September 3. The revised Charter included provisions to authorize WPK leadership to make wartime decisions. This revision is likely in response to North Korean fears over decapitation strikes and intended to signal to North Korea's adversaries that North Korea will maintain a survivable nuclear command and control even if Kim Jong Un is removed from command. (1/2)
Other Key Takeaways:
North Korea commissioned the guided-missile destroyer Kang Kon into the East Sea Fleet on September 6. North Korea likely views Kang Kon and its sister ship Choe Hyon as critical elements of North Korea's nuclear deterrent.
North Korea will likely prioritize modernizing its East Sea Fleet as it continues its efforts to develop a green-water navy. North Korea may be seeking to develop maritime capabilities to deny its adversaries sea control over the East Sea, likely a key strategic priority for the Korean People's Army Navy (KPAN).
Takeaway 1: Do Not Fight The Last War
In The 33 Strategies of War, Robert Greene uses the phrase “fighting the last war” to describe the tendency to get stuck repeating the same tactics, strategies, ways of thinking, and so on.
In warfare, a general who carries the tactics from a previous battle into the next is said to be fighting the last war, a critique of their failure to adapt to present realities and circumstances.
In civilian life, Greene writes, “what most often weighs you down and brings you misery is...your tendency to fight the last war...You must force yourself to strike out in new directions. Attack problems from new angles,”
Repeatedly trying and failing to be selected for roles—Damon was fighting the last war.
Finally, he struck out in a new direction and attacked the problem from a new angle.
Survivor bias is a b*tch – and nowhere is this more true than in startupville.
It becomes even more painful when it's constantly rubbed in your face, when every other startup in your co-working space has gotten their A round, and every Crunchbase email celebrates another successful raise.
But no one reveals the companies that have completed 47 pitches without a nibble.
Success isn't a highlight reel – it's a blooper that happened to survive.
@IanECox@Mutamilowya@IanECox Wtf dude?! How does "his own airline" get into your conversation? Is it lack of depth in your argument, or does your name speak for itself?
Cut KDF some slack. Those officers were NOT in the streets . They were trying to cross the ferry for a mission.
A private security askari at the ferry insisting that armed KDF should join the queue is plain stupid while busy allowing private motorist acess.
Armed forces should NEVER find themselves having to wait in a queue let alone an entire truck at the ferry. They will be sitting duck. Some of the private guards at the ferry act even more powerful than the Kenya police, they can really get into your nerves.
KDF are just human, imagine you are back from Boni and you lost colleagues or you are headed to Boni forest for work and some private guard is making a big deal on how and when you should cross.
A truck full of Armed KDF must jump the queue and move into the ferry in shortest time possible. I use the ferry quote often and these officers hardly ever step out from their trucks someone must have really pissed them off and who knows this incident could help bring back sanity at the ferry.
Those saying what are KDF doing in the streets , this is NOT a street , please you are simply being ignorant. This is Likoni crossing and these officers patiently sit in their trucks to wait to cross but when the private guards and the police decide to hold them when they see others crossing and favors being done then you don't expect them to remain calm.
Fellow Kenyans don't be too quick to judge KDF , these guys pay the ultimate prize protecting us and for me they still remain one of the most disciplined forces in Africa.
Please cut KDF some slack

Gabon's ousted President Ali Bongo once imported fake snow to the Presidential Palace, so his family could have a snowy Christmas.

#ClarenceAvant was a revolutionary. When people in the entertainment world were delegated to a near master/slave relationship, he broke through that wall of exploitation and made us respected business people. I can’t count the enormous amount of situations that he negotiated
