No journey can be completed with facing challenges. The real question how do one overcomes from such challenges?
Here is my short story of overcoming challenges which I faced during pursuing my PhD at @RoyalHolloway.
Thanks @PolStudiesAssoc for publishing it.
I am honored and humbled to receive the biennial ASAUK Best Thesis Prize - an award for the best doctoral thesis in African Studies successfully examined in a UK University from 2022-2024. @QMPoliticsIR
1) This is a nice, classy speech. 2) This is what was lost on a lot of the election night telly, where there was far too much chat and not enough counts.
Here’s my first attempt at getting to grips with this complex election for the Observer: Labour have played a masterful game of electoral jenga. But how stable will the teetering Commons tower be? https://t.co/aUj6bltaCU
Age was once again a key dividing line in how people voted. I’ve been banging on about the UK voting age gap for years now and could talk about it for hours, but luckily for you here’s a little summary of my research so far: https://t.co/ecyychgHws
Some truth in this. In 116 seats the Lib Dem vote went up and the Lab vote when down
In 293 seats the Lab vote went up and the Lib Dem vote when down
Where voters coordinated around the Lib Dems they made 45 gains
And where voters coordinated around Labour they made 162 gains
Seeing a lot of growing hysteria about Labour’s vote share. Overstated. This was the election where tactical voting finally happened in significant numbers. And it didn’t happen by accident. Was a major plank of Starmer’s strategy.
It’s finally election day! 🗳️ very grateful to @AJEnglish for asking me to talk about what I have been obsessing over for years… the huge UK voting age gap and how to get young people to the polls

New Conversation article out, "Election 2024: these are the races to watch" focused on 55 bellwether seats 1997-2024. Part of our collaboration with @olhe & @caprosser on voting behaviours over time #GE2024#GeneralElection#ElectionStats#VotingHistory https://t.co/Z5RENeOwZR
In this blog with @gbhgis@caprosser we look at how residents in the new constituencies have voted since 1997, and which places have most closely followed the national outcome:

New blog. We examine how residents in new constituencies voted in previous elections, and what would happen if Reform matched Ukip's vote from 2015 with @gbhgis@caprosser
