@davepl1968@BestMovieMom But it significantly changes the size and quality of CCD you can use, as well as the time it can spend on each frame. Film scanner sensors have much higher resolution and dynamic range than those in even the best cameras.
FYI if $SPCX is your first IPO
The 9:30am ET opening bell does not mean SpaceX starts trading. Nasdaq runs a price-discovery auction first, and for a deal this size it can take hours before the first share ever prints.
What's actually happening when the bell rings:
- Orders pour in but NOTHING matches yet, it's "display only," basically an order book filling with bids & asks and zero fills.
- Nasdaq broadcasts the imbalance and a moving indicative price (think live order-book depth before a launch).
- The lead underwriter (Goldman) gives the green light while Nasdaq's automated cross keeps re-pricing until buys and sells balance out
Only THEN does the "opening cross" fire. A single batch auction that clears everyone at one price, and then continuous trading begins.
The bell and the first trade are NOT the same.
Google (2004) → first trade 11:56am (~2.5 hrs after the bell)
Meta (2012) → 11:30am (~2 hrs after)
Twitter (2013) → 10:49am (~1hr 20m after)
So if there's no chart at 9:31, nothing's broken. Price discovery just isn't finished.
@Airport_FRA@bpol_air_fra I suspect you and your colleagues might have more sway than me, given that you operate the largest airport in the largest economy in the EU. Perhaps it would be in your interest to try to improve the experience of your customers by speaking to them yourselves?
@Airport_FRA only two out of ten border officials working on the B departure gates despite a queue of several hundred of passengers, many of whom are about to miss flights. Unbelievable inefficiency. Staff couldn’t care less. What has happened to Germany?
@alexwickham Nonsense. Sharing the fine detail/reasoning may well be against the rules, but simply communicating pass/fail (to the PM of the country) cannot possibly be. Are journalists challenging/fact-checking these assertions?
@flightradar24 Could have been prevented with something as simple as a red light in the tower and at runway crossing points to indicate an aircraft is on short final. Could implement it in a few hours with AI. Crazy that we’re reliant on overworked humans looking out a window.
@ANUJINDIA01@shiv_cybersurg You think the switch to turn the engine off should not actually turn the engine off? That may cause issues when they park the plane and everyone gets off. Or if there is an engine fire and they need to stop the flow of fuel. How about they just check the switch in pre-flight?
@LitThom@alandaviescomic They should guarantee three days. If test done in two, then play a bonus one day game. Surely much better than handing back millions of dollars to several thousand disappointed folks?
@Its_RandomBro @DudespostingWs Pretty sure there are already regulations forbidding light aircraft being driven on greens and fairway, unless prior approval received from the committee. I assume this pilot was initially aiming for the cart path, but politely adjusted to allow the player to make his chip.
