@Hawksbythesea@pulseby_M No chance I’m asking for free labour to cover it. You won’t like it when I say I pay my cleaner a Christmas bonus and pay her parking tickets when working in our house.
@sbnakmuay@pulseby_M Come on man… minimum wage, not a business owner. I call it ‘not being a dick’. If this woman is spending time in my home I need to trust her and look after her. That is two way.
@icanlevitateoff@pulseby_M An extremely tough position to take. I wouldn’t expect her to work for me for ten hours for free to pay it off (essentially what you’re asking for) as what was clearly an accident. Give her a break. I’ve also paid for parking tickets for my cleaner before.
@pulseby_M Yes, I’m afraid that’s a cost you have to pick up in my view. Unreasonable to expect a sole trader cleaner to have insurance and / or be able to pay for it. It’s the risk you take. If through a cleaning agency then it may be different as they should have insurance.
@fabricgrapes@MartinSLewis Fair. For me, I have every intention to keep cash invested in shares for as long as possible as it is proven that is how to generate most wealth. People are uncomfortable seeing a number go down but if you can deal with that then you’ll end up far richer.
@fabricgrapes@MartinSLewis My view of risk is that cash is riskier than investments in shares in the timeframe. Cash is guaranteed to have less buying power in ten years time with low interest returns. Save in shares and your return will far exceed inflation.
@Dr_JSA@DrLKVaughan You can also rent fully serviced and equipped physio rooms by the half day for £50. Really struggling to see the risk. Is it going to be possible for everyone? No. But most could stretch to that. https://t.co/HzoINBpMjO
