Just finished „Manhattan Ember” by Olive Collins! Another great novel by the author! It tells a fascinating story of Irish emigrants in New York. I enjoyed reading this book immensely and can highly recommend it. @olivecollins@TippLib@FHCexperience
5th Meeting, Saturday, 21st Sep ‘24
We met at the The Fethard Horse Country Experience. Carola talked and highly recommended “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer. A book about reconnecting with earth and its gifts. Treating it with reciprocity and gratefulness. Carola also talked and highly recommended “Cathedral of the Sea” by Ildefonso Falcones. It is a novel about 2 kids growing up alongside the building of the Cathedral of the sea. Set in Barcelona in the 14th century.Jorg introduced “The Hotel Lux” by Maurice J. Casey. Here is what he said: “I genuinely loved reading about the Hotel Lux, the people who lived there and their fascinating stories. It blew me away at times reading how extraordinary their lives were. I can only imagine the time and effort invested by the author in research to enable him to write this fabulous book.”Jorg also talked and highly recommended “The Weaver’s Legacy” by Olive Collins. A family epic of the American West. Another terrific book by Olive Collins. “Beautiful stories about different families, different generations, lives. Wonderfully written with attention to details about the scenery and the people involved. Moving stories. I felt immersed in the story and enjoyed reading this book enormously.” @olivecollins@TippLib@FHCexperience@sadlersfethard

There's a war & global warming, rising inflation, a pending recession, a housing crisis, covid but at least we're more tolerant, inclusive & kinder. #ItsASin
