The Snowy Mountain #BCwildfire burning 14 kilometers south of Keremeos is now considered “Being Held.” This means that under current conditions, and due to the suppression efforts crews put in on the ground, we do not expect this wildfire to grow beyond its current perimeter.
The BC Wildfire Service is assisting @OliverFireDept in responding to a new #BCwildfire approximately three kilometres west of #OliverBC. This wildfire is currently estimated at two hectares. Ground crews are on site with air support to aid in suppression efforts.
For the zillionth time this month:
STOP
THROWING
BURNING
THINGS
OUT
OF
YOUR
VEHICLE
Burning things tend to set dry vegetation on fire. Fire spreads quickly when it's this dry. This is bad. We shouldn't have to keep telling you this.

@BrockTalk @TownofOliverBC @BCGovFireInfo@BrockTalk think this is just to remind the public that their is a ban and that the @TownofOliverBC falls within that ban. Not a second ban from the town.
