@konichiwakitty Does the hole look likes its part of the cable run? Wherever the cable comes out inside (probably next to the fuse board) would be my first guess. Also depending on the age the cavity wall might be as far as they got, or even wanted to get!
@Jenny_Alto You've mentioned elsewhere it is a Samsung phone. We've just figured out with a new samsung they might use the wireless charging coil as the NFC antenna. Try presenting the centre of the back of the phone to the reader. Completely unintuitive if that is the case
@sad_electronics Not quite, it's 4 alkaline batteries. Nominally 6v but new alkalines can be over that for a short time. If prefer not pre-regulate as if like to run down to the ldo dropout limit and use as much of the battery as possible. Was looking at dc-dc but iq is often way too high
@sad_electronics If only it had a higher vin this would be perfect for a work project. I need >6.5v which seems to limit my options. That ultra low dropout is amazing though!
@GregDavill I've seen engraving panels used for quite a good effect. They could be engraved on rotary CNC or laser cutter, some are really quite thin and I think one already has sticky back applied.
@tomfleet As far as I'm aware, the pink stuff (foam and bubblewrap mostly) is dissipative. It doesn't shield the device from static shock but it does avoid the device building up a charge itself.
@CalMsLab @AislerHQ I haven't looked into the Pico w too much. What problem is this trying to solve? Too high quiescent current on regulator or a chip that doesn't sleep in a low enough state for your liking? I assume this will interrupt on of the voltage rails?
