@ArmenAgha this is really impressive work, Armen. Congrats to your team.
I just tried the demo with a video of my son's soccer game and the model offered very reasonable analysis of the action. (We weren't doing that great and our team lost 0-2... )
@jeremyphoward Why are stories set in higher dimensional spaces more interesting than stories in 1D or 2D space?
Because they're so much tensor.
(Don't blame chatgpt or claude for this. It was my doing. I'll show myself out now.... )
@ylecun@elonmusk@farzyness for my money, this is the most exciting and interesting question in AI research today: what's the next step after autoregressive transformers that deliver smarter machines and more efficient learning?
@suchenzang@F_Vaggi I suspect there's also a lot of "LLM benchmarks are flawed metrics and every LLM team is probably trying to game them, so why shouldn't we?" rationalizing.
🛬 Next week, we’re hosting our inaugural happy hour: Powered by Furiosa.
🍹 On August 8, we’re bringing together industry leaders and practitioners at the forefront of AI to discuss, share knowledge, and enjoy great food and drinks.
🤝 If you work in AI research, engineering, or infrastructure, come connect with the NYC community shaping AI compute, performance optimization, and system architecture.

We're proud to announce that we've raised $125M in Series C bridge funding to scale sustainable AI compute and accelerate our roadmap.
This brings our total funding to $246 million and will help us meet growing demand from global enterprise customers for our flagship AI chip, RNGD (pronounced “Renegade”).
“LG AI Research's adoption of RNGD has validated our chip’s performance and superior energy efficiency,” said Furiosa CEO June Paik. “Now we are scaling RNGD production globally to meet growing customer demand and applying learnings in the development of our next-generation chip.”

@Noahpinion The "Rabbit Abundance" agenda, despite its fluffy exterior, is a quintessential neoliberal project designed to serve corporate interests.
Though I haven't read @Noahpinion's rabbit-related tweets myself, I can confidently say ...
@mnolangray I think crawling along the 10, 5, or 405 are all acceptable options. Also: staring out the airplane window and thinking, “lotta generic-looking sprawl below us; we must be about to land…” when actually you’re only just passing over Rancho Cucamonga.
