Sir Ken was a hero, mentor and endless source of inspiration and motivation for so many people, especially the members of the TED-Ed team. In his passing, he remains all of those things. What an incredible life he lived, and what worthy ideas he shared. Rest in peace, good Sir.
"The idea is not to get more people at the top of an unfair pyramid; the idea is to say the pyramid is the wrong structure. How can we really create a circle, if you will, that includes everybody?" -Gloria Ladson-Billings

@tamashiro_mari They're in the same project - I just detached one of the event blocks to switch between the two. Here is the project in Scratch, if you're interested! https://t.co/sHoJMs8xsz
Simple materials - cardboard, paperclips, a little paint and some tinkering resulted in this mechanical scene - just two fish enjoying the sea! 🐠 #CrankyContraptions.

"The pandemic has gutted the traditional business model of museums just as thoroughly as it has emptied the Venetian canals, & this may present the opportunity to build new systems rather than simply rebounding to the status quo" https://t.co/rF6vY2MdIj
@ryokomatsumoto Inspired by @ryokomatsumoto to create spinning paintbrushes! It was fun to explore different types of paintbrushes and their textures - a cardboard box helped to ensure the spinning paint didn't splatter everywhere! #ExploringSpinning
@TinkeringStudio Experimented primarily with paperclips and coins to add weight - painters tape made it really easy to add and remove the weights as we tried different combinations!
STEM never stops (unlike some of my spinning tops)! Spent the afternoon experimenting with recycled materials, playing with weight and scale to create a successful spinning top. Thanks @TinkeringStudio for the inspiration to Make! #ExploringSpinning
