He also explains perfectly why Eelam Tamils should never refer to themselves as a minority: historically, they were never a minority to begin with. They lived as a nation of their own, with their own political structures, kings, chieftains, economy, language, and culture.

He also talks about how the Eelam Tamil nation does not belong exclusively to Tamils, but to Tamil-speaking people in general, which also includes Tamil-speaking Muslims.

In 2011 after the war ended with Eelam under military occupation, diaspora Tamil activists received a disturbing email from a sympathetic Jaffna Muslim. It contained a letter to a human rights group regarding a rape and murder in the former LTTE stronghold Kilinochchi. It revealed that five Sinhalese soldiers had raped the wife of a local Hindu temple priest and killed her in front of her husband. Her breasts were cut off and stuffed into her husband’s mouth. Her traumatized husband was taken away by the army who threatened the villagers not to report the incident.

God knows how many cases like that went unreported. It was common in isolated rural areas where poor war-affected women were being subjected to sexual slavery and forced pregnancy by the occupiers. The Muslim-owned Al Jazeera covered this back in 2013 in its documentary titled “Scars of Sri Lanka”. But Hindu India banned documentaries exposing Buddhist war crimes and certain TN brahmins justified them.
