@hanseaticeth@MichaelAArouet Not quite, the infrastructure is apalling given the government's huge budget. Scandinavian tax levels without the Scandinavian quality of life - Ireland feels a lot poorer than the stats would suggest thanks to how it's run

Rest in peace Bernard Hill. Many were your wonderful performances, and the inspiration you brought to the world cannot be understated. Rest in the halls of your fathers, in whose mighty company you shall not know shame.

This is Joyce, Richardβs wife. Thank you for your loving tributes. He would be beyond thrilled and so touched, as am I. In response to the many queries , I know Richard would appreciate donations in his memory to the Los Angeles based charity https://t.co/2OTtzHtudg or the charity of your choice. β€οΈ
Payments made with cash rose for the first time in a decade last year. Consumers often say they find it easier to manage their money using cash. What about you?
With plans being drafted for a cashless society, using cash becomes more than a personal preference. It turns into a political act and statement with very tangible consequences. Just by using cash, you can make a real political difference that becomes more powerful the more you increase your proportional use of cash. Maybe you find it easy to pay for certain things or in certain shops with cash only. As long as the majority of the population insists on the availability and use of cash, it will be very difficult to implement a completely cashless society which is a society that enables total control.
