Thanks to my colleagues within the Centre for Genomics Research at AstraZeneca especially @RyanDhindsa, Sri Vishnu Vardhan Deevi, Fengyuan Hu, Jonathan Mitchell, Sean Wen, Margarete Fabre, @kerencarss, & @SlavePetrovski . Also huge thanks to the folks from Uni of Leicester. 3/3
Our paper on telomere length (TL) genomics using UK Biobank whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data for over 460K individuals is now out in Nature Genetics.

Combining qPCR and WGS metrics improved TL estimates, enhancing genetic discovery across the allele frequency spectrum and revealed insights into the relationship between telomere length and clonal haematopoiesis.
We are thrilled to present the latest preprint from @AstraZeneca CGR on the influence of rare, protein-coding variation on 1,472 plasma proteins measured in 50,829 @uk_biobank participants.

@GReales7 Thanks - I was most interested in AD clustering with lung diseases such as COPD and I think (can't read as obscured by the yellow box) IPF/ILD? Hopefully, we can discuss (in person) soon.
@GReales7 Nice youtube presentation Guille, great to see you taking this project forward in an exciting direction. Just wondering if you had projected atopic dermatitis onto this basis already?

Looking to make an impact on genetic validation of therapeutic targets? A chance to explore academia and industry as research environments? Exciting opportunity to work on phewas methods with my group, GSK and MSD.

Small side project outside the PhD... interesting hints at the overlap between common and rare variant architecture between primary immune deficiency (PID) and other immune-mediated traits which we levered to identify novel monogenic causes of PID.

Review article https://t.co/Tz10mwqb2z on pinning down causal tissues and variants in autoimmunity GWAS using (amongst other methods) pcHi-C with @ProfJohnATodd, @jinshaw16, Tony Cutler and others. Browse the data in CHiCP https://t.co/JrplHGBqZr
He's had applications papers, but pleased to see @jhrf_diary 's first methods paper appear https://t.co/JBGUmzdvIK "Telomerecat: A ploidy-agnostic method for estimating telomere length from whole genome sequencing data". Now for the next...?
Some very exciting funded #statistics#PhD projects here, including one with me on functional genomics for interpreting genetic associations to human disease. https://t.co/GTi7ZuluFT
