Happy International Day of the Girl Child 2026.
Theme: End child marriage and invest in girls' rights.
To every girl in Ekiti State: your voice is a force, your dreams are well within reach, and your future is yours to write.
A girl who learns, leads. A girl who is protected, thrives. We will not rest until every girl in Ekiti State is free to rise, to choose, and to shine.
Today and every day, I stand with you.
ADO EKITI | Tuesday, 10th February 2026.
I had the privilege of flagging off the 2026 Free JAMB/UTME e-PIN Distribution Programme, an annual intervention that has become both a promise kept and a tradition sustained. This year, 3,400 brilliant and determined Ekiti students were given a renewed passport to possibility.
This initiative goes beyond forms and figures. It is a quiet but firm declaration that talent must never be silenced by circumstance and that every hardworking Ekiti child deserves a fair shot at higher education. Year after year, this programme has remained a deliberate instrument for widening access, easing parental burdens, and nurturing academic aspirations across the state.
Education, after all, is not a seasonal project but a lifelong investment. Under the purposeful leadership of my dear husband, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, our administration continues to place human capital development at the heart of governance, removing barriers to learning while strengthening both formal and technical education.
As a university teacher, I reminded the beneficiaries that opportunity is only meaningful when met with discipline, focus, and excellence. Their success will not only honour their families but will also write new chapters in Ekiti’s development story.
From free and compulsory education to this annual JAMB support, and now the newly completed Skill Acquisition Centre in Ado-Ekiti, our commitment is clear: to raise thinkers, builders, and problem-solvers for tomorrow.
I remain committed to nurturing a future where dreams are valid, effort is rewarded, and no child is left behind.
ABUAD | Thursday 17th October, 2024
With all humility and sense of responsibility, I represented my dear husband, His Excellency Governor Biodun Oyebanji, as the Special Guest at the Year 2024 International Hydrogen Summit organized by Afe Babalola University, in conjunction with JUST GREEN AFRH2ICA, held at @Abuad_Uni, Ado Ekiti.
The summit, with the theme “Catalyzing Green Hydrogen Development in Nigeria - The Capacity and Partnership Imperatives”, gave me an invaluable platform to discuss how Nigeria can play a leading role in the global clean energy transition.
In line with the objective of the summit, I did highlight the potential of green hydrogen as a sustainable energy source that could contribute to the achievement of SDGs and mitigate the effects of climate change by decarbonizing key sectors such as transportation, power generation, and fertilizer production.
I enthusiastically echoed that Nigeria’s future in green hydrogen looks incredibly bright. However, to achieve this vision, it would take a collective effort. There must be a synergy between government, industry, academia, and our international partners. I made bold to say we can build a sustainable and prosperous future, powered by clean energy.
Yesterday, I presided over an Engagement and Dialogue with Religious Leaders organized by my office in collaboration with the Ministry of Education on the need to facilitate increase in enrolment in public secondary schools.
I used the forum to enjoin our religious leaders to use their privileged position to encourage their congregation and followers to utilize the opportunities made available by the government of Ekiti State led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji for all our children especially the girls and the physically challenged.
December 5th, 2023, I was represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. @PjBabafemi, at the 4th Annual Conference of the @NGW_Forum in Abuja. I addressed the conference on the theme, "Youth Allies: Bridging Generations to End Violence."
