Building stronger private sector partnerships for healthcare investments in Nigeria

@DrPavelUrsu received Dr. Anne Adah-Ogoh, Director, Policy Private Sector Health Alliance Nigeria @pshan_alliance @WHONigeria on a productive courtesy visit.

The visit provided a unique opportunity to review the impact of the Adopt-A-Healthcare Facility Programme (ADHFP), further explore WHO proposed adoption of 36 PHCs, including one in the FCT and deepen ongoing mutual collaboration.

The WHO -PSHAN partnership on the ADHFP has produced significant results including a cumulative impact on Primary Healthcare in 33 States of Nigeria + FCT with 60 PHCs revitalized and functional

•711,272 people accessed quality healthcare services
•274,612 children immunized under one year of age
•16,677 community outreaches were conducted
•76,500 Antenatal Care
•38,860 Family planning Acceptors
•31,117 Under 5 malaria treated

The meeting also opened doors for deeper collaboration aimed at accelerating digital health coverage and unlocking more domestic private sector resources with a potential to scaling up the best practices to other African countries.

Together, we move closer to a stronger and more sustainable investments that will guarantee a more resilient PHC for all.

These are not ordinary policies.
They are dangerous reforms.
Politically expensive reforms.

Most presidents avoid them.
Especially in a first term.
Especially if they want a second.

But not Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He chose courage over comfort.
He chose the nation over politics.

Fuel subsidy was a lie we lived with for decades.
It drained public funds.
It rewarded corruption and smugglers.

Everyone knew this.
Few were willing to act.

He did.

Local government autonomy was never about popularity.
It was about power.
And breaking unhealthy control.

Any president afraid of backlash would dodge it.
Tinubu confronted it head‑on.

Floating the naira was the hardest call.
Artificial stability felt good.
But it was destroying the economy underneath.

So he chose reality.
Painful, yes.
But necessary.

This is not politics as usual.
This is leadership under pressure.

Most leaders protect re‑election.
Tinubu protected the future.

That is why these reforms matter.
And that is why I will vote for him again. 🇳🇬

"They always want to speak Yorùbá, even though they know you cannot understand it..." - Lady from the Southeast who has just moved to Lagos and spent just a few days... no one begged her to move here o!

::: What language did she think would be spoken in a Yorùbá indigenous state that is in the Southwest region of Nigeria not the Southeast, where they also speak their own language but she has no problem with it!

If she goes to Germany, will she complain about Germans speaking German in theur indigenous land? The stewpidity of this lady is very loud!

This is just another example of the subtle Yorùbáphobia and bigotry in Nigeria from "some..." non-Yorubas!

Can you imagine a Yoruba person going to Sokoto and complaining that "people are always speaking Hausa..." or going to Bayelsa and saying "people are always speaking Ijaw language!
