PRESS RELEASE

I, the Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, address the public with a heavy heart regarding the unfortunate attack in Barkin Ladi that claimed the lives of four innocent citizens of our Local Government Area.

We condemn this senseless act of violence in the strongest terms and assure the families of the victims that we stand with them in this difficult time. Our hearts go out to them, and we pray for the repose of the departed souls.

As reports of such incidents can often lead to anxiety, I want to assure all citizens of Jos North that the government is on top of the situation. Security agencies have been alerted, and we are working closely with them to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

We deeply appreciate the efforts of the community leaders, religious leaders, youth leaders, and stakeholders for their concerted and proactive efforts in sustaining the peace in their various communities. Your tireless work in promoting dialogue, understanding, and tolerance has been instrumental in maintaining harmony in Jos North.

I appeal to everyone to remain calm and vigilant. We must not let acts of violence divide us. Our strength lies in our unity and resilience as a local government. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all residents.

I urge citizens to stand united in the face of adversity and continue to pray for peace and harmony in our dear local government area.
