We opted to use ground operation to rescue the abducted schoolchildren children because the aircrafts and drones we used during our rescue operation couldn't locate the abducted schoolchildren and teachers because if you're under that place, you can't even see rays of sunlight.

During one of the operations, we lost two soldiers, and some others were wounded. One of them has a broken arm due to a gunshot wound. I took over the operation, and we had assistance from the NSA Nuhu Ribadu, who sent in the National Counter-terrorism unit.

We also had the Defence Headquarters special forces, the Nigerian Police, DSS, Nigerian Airforce team from Kanji, troops from Operation Savannah Shield from Kwara State that did a blocking from the Northern side of the state, local vigilantes and Amoteken. We lost some hunters, too.

The operation was a complex one, and it lasted for over a month. We focused on identifying the terrorist kingpins that masterminded the abduction and then started cutting off their logistics and informants at the Old Oyo National Park and other parts of the country.

We looked for other members of their team and members of their families in Adamawa, Kano, and different parts of the country and got them, and this put pressure on the terrorists.

During the last phase of the operation, we blocked their major logistics hub in Ashamu, and it finally made them to willingly release the schoolchildren and teachers unconditionally, but we insisted that it was not about releasing but seeing to end of the terrorists operating in the region.

Tinubu's govt was proposing to increase WAEC, and NECO fees and there's an outrage, as there should be. But same people criticizing the hike, drum support for Peter Obi even though Obi has done worse as a governor.

Obi's govt hiked Anambra State University fees from 36k to 86k non-medicals, and 120k for medical student.

Then we have Atiku who has also condemned the move by the govt; Now isn't he the same person who had Obi as a running mate, a coalition member, and an ally just a few months back? Same Obi who stated that education is not for the poor?

When I told Professor Wole Soyinka that my knee surgery cost about 39 million and that I had about 10 million to pay the hospital, he said: “Let me get to Lagos this Friday and see what I can send.”

I sent him the bank details of the hospital.

By Monday, he messaged me: “Receivng no notification from you, I asked my bank for confirmation that the money has been sent. Forwarding separately the affirmation documents from the bank in case you need to track the funds. Bank document attached in case you need to track the remittance. I am one lucky man.

I’ve experienced life as an Obidient, and today I am a Progressive. I can confidently say they are two completely different ideologies.

Yesterday, I experienced something I hadn’t felt. It was as though the Super Eagles won the World Cup. I genuinely felt what it means to love your country and sincerely want the best for it.

The moment the news broke that the abducted Oyo schoolchildren and their teachers had been rescued, my phone practically exploded. Calls everywhere, messages from everywhere. People were congratulating one another, celebrating, thanking God.

Not because any of us had our own children among those rescued.

We were simply happy that innocent Nigerians made it home alive.

That joy was real and pure. It reminded me that the life of every Nigerian matters.

As an Obidient, I never experienced that kind of collective joy for Nigeria. The atmosphere was always different. If the news was good, people looked for reasons to downplay it. If it was bad, na there everybody go gather, begin push agenda. The mindset often seemed to be that nothing good should ever be acknowledged. It always felt like if Nigeria recorded a win, some people were disappointed because it didn’t fit the narrative they had already built.

Yesterday changed something in me forever.

For the first time in a long while, I felt genuinely proud to be a Nigerian. People celebrated the success of our security forces and the safe return of fellow citizens without bitterness.

Yesterday reaffirmed that I am with a group that celebrates Nigeria’s victories, no matter how small or big. A group that wants this country to succeed because when Nigeria wins, we all win.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. God bless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Is it just me or there is actually no other prominent branch of Christianity than pastoring?

Today, every gospel artist once blown transits into pastoring and the artist carries a new title - General Overseer.

Every Drama minister's ultimate goal is no longer to become the next Mike Bamiloye, writing scripts that markets the gospel to millions but to become a church owner.

Even skit makers in the kingdom are today claiming to have pastoral calling.

Many that should remain as evangelists are Senior Prophets today...

What am I not getting?

Is God no longer calling people into the diverse offices and assignments of the Kingdom? Has the Body of Christ become so centralized around the pulpit that every gift now feels compelled to end there?

Or have we unconsciously created a culture where the glamour, influence, financial comfort, and prestige associated with being an overseer now appear more attractive than faithfully serving in other Kingdom callings?

The Body of Christ is not made up of mouths alone. The eye is not the hand, and the hand is not the foot. Heaven never designed the Church to function with everyone behind a pulpit.

The Yoruba Orisa philosophy appears to be more consistent - The Priests know themselves. The diviners know themselves. The herbalists know themselves. The warriors know themselves. A clue our Christian brethren can borrow.
