Nigeria currently has an installed capacity of about 13,625 MW so to reach 60,000MW we need to add atleast 46,375MW (47GW) . Let’s even ignore the cost, let’s assume Nigeria has infinite money & corruption is our only problem which most halfwits like Sowore believes, there’s no government on earth that can deliver 47GW in 3 years! Even China the masters of efficiency that built the largest power plant on earth, so large that it slight shifted the planet from its axis, the Three Gorges Dam which generates 20GW spent 17yrs and spent $37b to build it, so for Nigeria to build 47GW of power infrastructure to close the deficit would take atleast 20yrs at a cost of $100B. FG revenue per annum from all revenue sources I.e taxes, oil royalties, sovereign wealth fund dividends, etc does NOT amount to $25B p.a so even if the government decides to allocate 100% of its annual revenue to building power infrastructure alone it would need to allocate it for 4 straight years while spending $0 on everything else not health care, security, education, etc and even at that the project CAN NOT be completed in 3 years even if you get the UK, US, China, Russia & France to collaborate on the construction. You can see that what you are witnessing is akin to the schizophrenic ranting of a man that’s completely lost touch with reality and you’ll see Nigerians flocking behind this obviously mad person. This is what I mean when I say majority of Nigerians don’t even understand the issues that plague the country they live in and the complexities of actually solving those problems!

My dad ended up in jail for a week for helping a Nigerian woman in Ibadan who had been hit by a car and abandoned on the road around Mokola area in 1986. He got her to the hospital, they tried to save her life She died. The police arrested him for being the culprit It threw my entire family into a crisis My grandfather and the entire Baptist community in my hometown had to come to Ibadan Eye witnesses refused to get involved for fear of being roped in My mother fasted and prayed Case was going to court Suddenly, the person that hit the woman showed up at the police station with his wife. He had told his wife what happened when he got home. The wife heard that my daddy had been arrested The wife’s conscience couldn’t take it She convinced him to turn himself in. I have never ever carried a stranger in distress in my car since then and even the ones not in distress. I will pray for you and if possible call the police but I am not carrying you or touching you for any reason.

Electricity: Nigerians Are Telling Me To Slow Down, That Everything In Their Freezer Is Freezing — Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, has revealed that some Nigerians asked him to “slow down” efforts to improve electricity supply because their freezers were now working continuously. Tegbe made the disclosure on Wednesday in Abuja while commissioning a 3-megawatt solar hybrid power project at Yakubu Gowon University, formerly the University of Abuja. According to the Minister, some areas that previously went without electricity for months are now enjoying up to 18 hours of supply. “Places that didn’t have light at all for three months are now having 18 hours light. Some areas called me to say, look, I should slow down, that everything in their freezer is freezing. That is what freezer is meant to do. Let it freeze the food that needs to be frozen”, Tegbe said. He recalled promising during his Senate screening that Nigerians would begin to notice improvements in electricity supply within three to six months. However, Tegbe acknowledged that ageing infrastructure remains a major challenge, noting that some power facilities are over four decades old. “Some of the infrastructure we have in the electricity and power sector are more than 40 years old. We’re systematically replacing them, phasing them out and bringing new ones,” he said. He also disclosed that vandals had destroyed three major transmission towers in Birnin Kebbi by attacking their foundations and cutting parts of the structures for scrap. “You will not believe how many towers get pulled down by vandals,” he said. Tegbe said the government had formed a joint committee involving the EFCC, Police and NSCDC to protect critical electricity infrastructure and ensure vandalism is treated as a serious criminal offence.
