Pritzker does have a brain.

We all want the CHICAGO Bears to stay in Chicago or at the very least Illinois, but a governor’s job isn’t to be a superfan. It’s to look out for everyone.

The Bears are an $8B private business and still owe ~$500M from the last Soldier Field renovation. Taxpayers haven’t even finished paying for the old deal, and people are acting shocked that Pritzker won’t rush into another one.

Infrastructure help that benefits the region? Fair.

Writing a blank check for billionaire owners while schools, transit, and healthcare compete for dollars? Not smart.

Keeping the Bears in Illinois takes negotiation and realism. Pritzker’s thinking long-term, not emotionally.

Let’s help him out and show the Chicago Bears owners how much we actually care about keeping the team here.
