More than 4,000 critically ill or injured children approved by the WHO for medical evacuation remain trapped under Israel’s siege of Gaza. One-year-old Nabih is one of them.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 264 children cleared for evacuation by the WHO, Israeli authorities (COGAT), and Palestinian authorities have died while waiting to leave Gaza for treatment.

The ministry says Israeli restrictions on patients approved for evacuation have contributed to more than 1,570 deaths since Oct. 7, including 505 cancer patients. It adds that another 6 to 10 patients die each day awaiting transfer. The crossing was again closed for extended periods this week, including all of Wednesday.

Absolutely brilliant answer by @AbdulElSayed to the moronic and ritualistic insistence by mainstream media to ask whether candidates believe "Israel has a right to exist."

It is not that Abdul points out that Israel already exists while no one asks him about the right for Palestine to exist. After all, they are the ones suffering through genocide - at the hands of Israel.

It's that he juxtaposes the question of Israel's right to exist with the question of whether Israel has a right to American taxpayers' money (which it currently spends on genocide).

Just like Mamdani brought the conversation back to the needs of New Yorkers instead of the needs of Israelis, Abdul brings it back to the rights and needs of his constituents in Michigan.

Many won't like me calling it as such, but this is the Democratic version of America First. And it is not surprising that it has such a strong appeal.

➤ An Israeli strike on a motorcycle near the Muath bin Jabal Mosque, north of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza killed Abdel Hamid Jarwan and wounded several others.

➤ In southern Gaza, two Palestinians — Mahmoud Al-Brim, 43, and Yousef Abu Khater, 60 — were killed, and several wounded, including children, after an Israeli strike hit a tent in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis. Ahmed al-Brim, Mahmoud’s brother, later died from wounds sustained in the attack.

➤ Elsewhere, Yasser Abd Subh, 18, died of wounds sustained in a previous Israeli attack on the coast of Khan Younis. Israeli artillery also shelled areas north of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while the military carried out large-scale demolitions of buildings in the southern city of Rafah.

Since October 11, the first full day of the so-called ceasefire, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,059 Palestinians and wounded 3,429 others across Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Let this sink in: After the first round of US-Iran talks in Islamabad, US intelligence picked up that Israel was planning to assassinate the Iranian negotiators as they were returning to Tehran.
