My husband lost his job six months ago, so I let him use my car to drive Uber while he figured things out.
He worked long hours. Some days he barely came home before midnight.
I knew he was trying.
Then one night, we had a terrible argument about money.
I was frustrated, exhausted and angry.
I looked at him and said:
“You don’t even have a job. You’re only making money because you’re driving MY car.”
The second I said it, I regretted it.
He didn’t argue.
He just went completely quiet.
The next morning, he left.
I thought he’d be gone for a few hours.
He never came back.
For days, I called him. Nothing.
His mother said she hadn’t seen him.
The only thing he did was send money for our children every few days.
Then, two weeks later, someone knocked on my door.
It was my husband.
He handed me the keys to my car.
Then he said:
“I didn’t leave because you said I don’t have a job.
I left because I realized you no longer respected the man you married.”
Then he walked away.
I stood there holding those keys, realizing how one sentence said in anger can destroy something you spent years building. 💔
🚨 Emirati officials have warned the UK Government that the severity of the ruling against Manchester City could impact the UAE’s appetite for future major investment and commitments in Britain, with the situation now affecting relations between the two countries. 🇬🇧🇦🇪
UK officials are also frustrated with their UAE counterparts and believe some figures in the Gulf state must have been aware of the extent of City’s wrongdoing despite previously insisting nothing improper had taken place.

Independence Is Meaningless Without Real Freedom
As we continue to reflect on Nigeria’s Independence, we must remember that independence means very little if citizens cannot freely express themselves, within the bounds of the law, without fear.
Reports that some Nigerians in Akwa Ibom were arrested simply for identifying with the Obidient Movement should worry every Nigerian who believes in democracy and freedom, especially when such identification is a constitutional right.
One of the greatest tragedies of our society is that people who once described themselves as freedom fighters can become defenders of oppression when they eventually occupy positions of authority. Those who once complained about injustice can become comfortable with injustice when it is being perpetrated against people they disagree with. That must not be the Nigeria we accept.
Our independence must ultimately mean freedom from fear, injustice, intolerance and abuse of power.
Nigeria must belong to all of us. -PO
“There’s Nothing To Celebrate. At 66, What Are We Celebrating? Imagine This Government Going To The UN To Beg For Money. It Was So Shameful, And It Pained Me To My Bones.” ~ Pastor Sarah Omakwu Reacts To Nigeria At 66.
The Obidient Coordinator for Akwa Ibom State, Dr. Ben Smith, who went alongside other supporters to facilitate the release of @ElijahNoah8 and other members reportedly arrested earlier, has now been arrested himself by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command in Ikot Akpan Abia. This kind of intimidation must not be tolerated.
