Urgent Concern on Alleged Nursing Quackery at Elshaddai Clinic, Ijebu-Ode

I am writing to draw your urgent attention to reports and publicly circulated evidence alleging nursing quackery at Elshaddai Clinic (also known as Ore Ofe Elshaddai Clinic), Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. It is alleged that unqualified individuals, commonly referred to as “auxiliary nurses,” are being trained and allowed to perform nursing duties without the required education, supervision, or licensure by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

If confirmed, this practice poses serious risks to patient safety, including medication errors, poor clinical outcomes, preventable complications, and avoidable loss of life. It also undermines public confidence in the healthcare system and devalues the nursing profession.

We respectfully urge the Ogun State Government and the Ogun State chapter of NANNM to urgently investigate this facility, shut down any illegal training activities if found, and ensure that appropriate regulatory and legal actions are taken.

Prompt intervention is essential to protect patients and uphold professional nursing standards in Ogun State.

Reports say the abductors are demanding ₦100 million for his release.
