The Birth of $ROBBIE the Robin.

What a rollercoaster of emotions this day has been, like everything in crypto, nothing ever goes the way it is supposed to, and maybe its meant to be this way. My mind is still in a head spin as I'm typing this, everything is still so raw so I will just take things day by day, hour by hour, second by second. There is so much to unpack so I will just write what is coming to my mind at this very moment. Hopefully by the end of this everyone will have a better picture of what happened.

Many of you don't know who I am so I will start here. I work in the crypto space as an artist, doing marketing work for many crypto projects. I have been privileged enough to work with so many awesome people and I feel blessed that many patrons in this space that enjoy the work I put out. Throughout my time in crypto many people have asked me to launch a coin with art tied to me, it never really crossed my mind until recently.

Lets rewind back to 2 weeks ago when everything started. I will first like to run through the creative process behind $Robbie the Robin. Like many of my degen-friends in the space I noticed Robinhood chain started exploding in terms of on-chain activity. Things felt fresh, new novel narratives started popping off. As always, memes were at the forefront of on-chain activity. Looking at the coins that launched on-chain, nothing felt like it stood out, the crypto space was filled with 200k toppers, no one believed anything anymore. Robin is the bird that represents hope, renewal, and new beginnings. It is the perfect animal given that Robinhood's creative design is literally a logo of a robin feather.

Robbie the Robin felt like it could be something that brings new interest to creative tokens, compared to just another cat or dog coin. As a creator it took me a good 10 days to get the design of the mascot down to a standard I felt it was refined enough to evoke interest people. The color scheme represents RH chain, the wings of the mascot are a homage to the vibrant community currently forming on Robinhood chain, the bird itself is an epitome of being early. The refining of the art and mascot took so long, I felt like I was being left behind as crypto moved at lightning speed, but I didn't want to put out anything that wasn't up to a high enough standard.

So fast forward to today: What happened?

I chose to launch on $PONS because it felt like it was the launchpad chosen by the community, the peoples' launchpad. As someone who has dabbled in trading meme-coins but never created any coin, the launch of Robbie could not have been more chaotic. Following Murphy's law, everything that could go wrong went wrong! I was testing the PONS launchpad, filling in the boxes ... and just like that ... I launched the token. 15 minutes later I noticed there was an extra dollar sign in the ticker name. Instead of Robbie, the token name was $Robbie. My heart sank... I had spent 10 days refining the mascot, making sure it was what I thought best represented RH ... yet I was careless enough to screw up on naming the coin. What do I do now? The ticker is a disaster ... things were just no good. But I thought maybe its okay, I never told people the ticker, I could just relaunch right? 15 minutes go past, it felt like seconds, the coin hit 1 mil marketcap. I was like a deer in headlights completely frozen, it dawned on me that there are now consequences if I relaunched the coin with the corrected ticker. After spending hours thinking over I think the market has connected the dots, I can't back down now that there are millions of volume traded on a mascot I created. Maybe the $ sign is a blessing in disguise so we are going to run with it!

I had no idea how to update DexScreener, I never had planned for $Robbie to be born today. But here we are, things never go as they are planned. Even just a few hours in my DMs are blowing up all over the place, its hard to respond to everyone so I figured I will make this post now to help bring some clarity. I will admit, I am kinda out of my depths as to what to do at this point, but I have good people that I can talk to, to ensure the best success for $Robbie going forward.

From this point onwards all future communication for Robbie will come from the X account @RobbieOnRH. I've also been told the DexScreener has been held hostage by someone else, I will work on claiming it back. After this I will go through my DMs and gather the best people around me to help me ensure Robbie's success is continued.

To those that believe. Robbie takes flight today.
