IMO too many people are way too comfortable speaking in absolutes (words like “every”, “never”, etc), and at the same time way too many people read past qualifiers (“usually”, “some”, etc).
These words are not only important context clues for tone, but incorporating more
My mother tried selling my late father’s car through Cars24 and what followed was one of the most alarming consumer experiences I’ve seen.
What started as a routine vehicle sale quickly turned into a pattern of behavior that felt far closer to a scam operation than a professional platform handling high-value transactions.
Timeline:
• Initial inspection and valuation completed in Jan 2026
• Since the car was still registered in my father’s name, we were told the RC first had to be transferred to my mother as legal heir before the sale could proceed
• After the transfer was completed, the valuation suddenly dropped by tens of thousands despite no material change in the vehicle
• Then, within days, it dropped again by over ₹1 lakh while executives aggressively pushed for immediate handover of the car
At the same time, multiple deeply suspicious things started happening:
* False inspection details were uploaded, including claims that the RC was “lost” and that there was no duplicate key when both existed
* Executives repeatedly pressured my mother to “close immediately” before discrepancies were corrected
* When she questioned inconsistencies, she was told to “trust” them and stop being “too fussy”
* Sensitive personal and banking documents were requested before the process was even properly validated
* A fake/incorrect challan claim was made against the vehicle, along with a payment link — but independent verification showed no challans existed
* Different employees gave contradictory explanations about the process and appeared to coordinate stories with each other
* One employee falsely claimed to be a “GM” handling the escalation personally; when we looked him up on Linkedin, his designation was "Sales Associate"
* App and website sections related specifically to the sale process repeatedly failed or became inaccessible while other parts worked normally
* Despite receiving SMS updates showing bids supposedly increasing, there was no actual transparency into the bidding or auction process
Most troubling of all was the constant urgency, pressure, emotional manipulation, and hostility the moment my mother insisted on transparency and proper documentation. After a second inspection was conducted correctly in front of her, many of the earlier “errors” became impossible to dismiss as innocent mistakes.
At best, this reflects shocking incompetence. At worst, it raises serious questions about manipulation of valuations, auction transparency, and internal conduct.
A detailed complaint has already been sent to Cars24 leadership, but there has been no meaningful response so far.
I am sharing this publicly because this was not merely a stressful transaction. My mother was navigating the emotional burden of my father's passing and trying to part with a car he deeply loved, trusting Cars24 to handle the process with professionalism and integrity. Instead, she was met with pressure, dishonesty, and conduct that completely destroyed my faith in the platform.
Consumers deserve far better.

i had an electrical engineering professor who played guitar who lamented to a professional guitarist he wasnt as good as him. the guitarist responded "it's a bit entitled for you to believe you could be as good at guitar as me when it's my full time job and a hobby for you"
pro tip if you're starting college soon, NEVER skip a lecture. not even once.

we've been interacting with a doctor somewhat frequently lately, and i keep calling what they'll do at the next appointment after the previous appointment
e.g. "in six weeks, he's going to prescribe X" / he prescribes X
what's the point
Beyoncé released a song called “Bodyguard” to hide the Google search results about her yearlong affair with her bodyguard. Same thing is happening here with “Peter Thiel antichrist”
