The most important part of this ruling:

“XRP, as a digital token, is not in and of itself a “contract, transaction[,] or scheme” that embodies the Howey requirements of an investment contract.”

This is a now a matter of law (not up for trial.)

1. Judge Torres ended up ...splitting the baby! Yes, she finds the sales in which the buyers bought XRP directly from Ripple were sales of securities. That amount is alleged to be $728 million.

The Judge in the Ripple case has been making major rulings about every 9 weeks (Sept. 29, Dec.19, March 6, May 16). And the only major ruling left is on Summary Judgment.

That comes out to mid-July.
