The #gmsf itself says they can accommodate all the houses on brownfield they just want the greenbelt as a "buffer" which in reality means this will get developed first and derelict sites left

@jreynoldsMP 100% in principle it was a good idea. However they went about it the wrong way. Instead of asking developers and landowners first they should have involved the people who live in these areas. It would have sailed through years ago if they had. Its their own fault #gmsf

@NickClarke11 @cllrsfielding @AndyBurnhamGM Yes but they are from 2014 ONS housing projections. They are applying the methology to old data. The 2016 and 2018 show less housing required. This is also coupled with Burnhams choice to apply the accelerated growth scenario requiring a further uplift and more houses.
