@the_ason @JordanUhl He does say the SAVE plan, but seems like he must have went with a different IDR plan if it dropped the payment and he mentions it will now incur interest. There are many other IDR plans besides SAVE, that isn't the best plan for some people.

@JordanUhl Do you file taxes jointly with a spouse? My coworker will have to pay $860 a month because of her and her husband's combined income (similar salaries) but only $280 if she filed alone and only used her income (SAVE plan). Could be worth looking in to filing separately to save.
