FYI SpecStory extension seems to be doing the trick - tried coding it up myself but no luck and very clunks.
Unfortuanetly SpecStory doesn't save just the chat in between each commit (rather saves everything), but the diff on GitHub is likely sufficient for that purpose.
Does anyone have advice for how to automate chat log saves (only for chats from the last commit to the current) in Cursor? ie. like a pre-commit hook that saves the LLM prompts and responses in a .md/.txt file?

Is self-tracking inherently self absorbed? This has been a common thread in internal-self dialogue and discussion with friends, family and colleagues who have observed this study.

💡1000 Days Insight: Empathy and Data Logging
In this 1-year single-case study, Participant One shows a small to moderate decline in empathy.
This plot was generated to investigate the temporal connection between self-tracking and empathy.

Curious to hear your thoughts on our current state of polarized healing.
I see two sides, often finding myself oscillating between both:
1. Optimization through external measurement (think @bryan_johnson )
2. Listen to Your Body (think Tommy John III)
See thread for context.
Each has valid criticism…
Listening to your body, and saying the body’s responses are perfect, can seem to discredit people with health complications and assign blame to them.
Lots of measurement can feel like it detaches us from our own intuition and outsources our health.
Population-based science is incredible. An N of 1,000,000 gives us an extremely robust effect of an intervention on a health outcome; however, results from these studies should be used as a guide for what is probable - not what is certain.
Certainty in the efficacy of an intervention on one’s PERSONAL health comes from PERSONAL measurement.
You weren’t in that 1,000,000 sample, so how can you be certain that effect applies to you?

Get clear on your biggest goal.
What do EXACTLY you want?
Find a way to measure it - a proxy.
Try things to improve it, measure. Try more things, measure.
Identify what things made your proxy improve.
