My first #DotDev, and what an experience it was.

Two incredible days surrounded by some of the smartest and most welcoming people in the @Shopify ecosystem.

I met founders, developers, partners, vendors, competitors, and members of the Shopify team. What stood out most was how open everyone was to exchanging ideas, sharing notes, and learning from one another.

Meeting competitors and having genuinely open conversations about the industry was especially refreshing. It reminded me that while we may compete, we are also collectively building and pushing the ecosystem forward.

One particularly special moment was finally meeting the entire @Hookdeck team in person. We have been using Hookdeck for almost four years, so meeting the people behind a product that has been part of our journey was amazing.

I also got to see @tobi and @harleyf from Shopify in person, which made the experience even more special.

Another surreal moment was seeing @rauchg from @vercel speak. Vercel has always been one of my favourite companies, so getting to hear him in person was definitely one of the highlights of the event.

And then came the Block Party.

Around 2,000 people from the Shopify community and 6,000 Shopify employees coming together on the streets. The scale, the energy, and the sense of community made it a night to remember.

A huge thank you to everyone who made my first #DotDev such an incredible experience.

Already looking forward to coming back next year.

First meetings are always memorable.

A big thank you to @rosscorreia and the team at @getReactiv for hosting us at your office. It was great meeting the team for the first time, exchanging ideas, and talking about everything happening in the Shopify and AI ecosystem.

It was also great catching up with @nickselman from @getshoplift Looking forward to many more conversations and collaborations ahead!

@jzazove @karolisprekeris I’m not sure this works! I keep reporting apps, but I’ve never seen any action taken.

I mostly report incorrect pricing listings on the app store and app website, which clearly violate Shopify pricing policies and are easy to verify. Yet nothing!

Not sure if it was intentional or just a coincidence! Curious how Shopify will look at it!

There are #189 apps in this category, and seeing BotSpace show up alongside some of the most established helpdesk and AI support platforms like Gorgias, Tidio, ReAmaze, Richpanel & Intercom is a big moment for our team.

We’re building BotSpace for modern commerce brands that want support, sales, and automation to work together across WhatsApp, Instagram, Web, Email, and Voice.

Still early. Still a lot to improve.

But this is a strong signal that our Shopify-first direction is working.
