@JoeAllenNewman This is too familiar and it's a shame. My dad suffered from chronic low back + neck pain after a work accident. He became disabled & struggled to navigate our healthcare system (I helped where possible). He lost his battle in 2018 to suicide, yet he had so many stories like this.

@APainPrincess @DespitePainBlog I always say (about my dad's story) that his pain was specific to him but not exclusive to him. It's a shame that doctors are more hesitant than receptive and that those who *are* actually empathetic or interested in finding true solutions--are often in the minority. 🧡
