@TheTrinketMage I don’t think chaining extra turns as a win condition is any more egregious than other win conditions allowed in Bracket 3 as long as you’re decisive and respect other players’ time.
@phungus6@siiuttyfemoby Leona did her best! She tried to flash onto Kat immediately, ulted Yone (likely assuming Kat would Shunpo to Yone to retreat since she just flashed away), then chased Kat as best she could. It’s hard to keep up with a rapidly blinking champion. 😔
@VitoComedy What’s wrong with it? For Standard, iterating on these effects is reasonable. Of these cards, only Breeches and Diamond Pickaxe are legal now, and they’re leaving the format next year. For eternal formats, redundancy and options you can tailor to your strategy are welcome.
@KevinVarrakS The mill effect translates to great card access in my Lier deck and is flexible enough to target opponents whenever it’s useful (when I’m at risk of decking myself or when an opponent tutors to the top of their library, for example).
@razortrapgorge I play Caradora in a +1/+1 counters deck. I use her to tutor what I need (Ornery Tumblewag for counters, Bulwark Ox for protection, etc…). The deck functions well without her, but when she sticks, she also gets strong enough to kill with commander damage.
@MTGSecretLair The process was miserable and left many people without an eagerly anticipated product. WOTC and Secret Lair once again demonstrate incredible contempt for their players and collectors.
@ThatoneQueen3@goddess_ymir Wait I thought Miss Fortune had some kind of super luck or something—not conscious magic, but something that evened the playing field in a region with stuff like Tahm Kench and Twisted Fate. She’s really just out here with a gun?! 😭
@sunrise_flare@UsagiKaede1 IIRC, it contains the collective consciousness and power of the Onakke, who manipulate the wearer to bring about their resurrection. Liliana retrieved it for Korthophed, encountering Garrul on Shandalar for a hunt. In Jace’s reality, I suppose Garrick found the veil instead.
@UsagiKaede1 It’s actually pretty effective in Modern colorless decks where you can name it with Petrified Hamlet to ensure it provides at least one colorless mana.
@Calm_Mirror During the prerelease event, I played a Lecturing Scornmage on my first and second turn and my opponent took out both with a Prismari Charm before I could attack with either or cast my own instant or sorcery. That was the end of that game. 😅
