We all want the easy route. We respect structure, frameworks, and strategy, but deep down, we still hope there’s a shortcut that skips the hard thinking.
I saw this clearly during a @cim_marketing Marketing & Digital Strategy class. Someone asked that the focus be on specific digital platforms instead of the structure behind them. That question explained a lot.
Many upskilling efforts don’t translate into real growth because we chase tools and skip systems. But, platforms change, algorithms shift, trends expire... What lasts is understanding how opportunities are created in the first place.
That’s the thinking that shaped the conversations at the #StanbicOngeaDigitalSummit25. This wasn’t about explaining platforms. Everyone in the room already lives on them. The value was in unpacking how creators, businesses,
I kept returning to three things: Community. You don’t grow alone. Skills. Passion needs training. Clarity. Know what you do, who it’s for, and why it matters. None of them is exciting on the surface, but they all compound over time.
That’s how creators stay relevant. That’s how businesses grow sustainably. That’s how brands add real value without forcing themselves into the conversation.
The real work continues after the event. Looking forward to the follow-up conversations.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and powered the Stanbic Ongea Digital Summit 2025.
From creators to regulators to innovators, your insights and energy lit up the room.
Here’s to building a bold, collaborative future for our creator economy.
