🚨 BREAKING: Prashna Joseph has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody by the Gannavaram Additional Junior Civil Court in connection with a case registered under the UAPA and other applicable provisions.

Following the remand order, police will shift him to Nellore District Jail.

Sections 13 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967, are serious provisions under Indian anti-terrorism and national security law:

Section 13 – Punishment for Unlawful Activities
Punishment: Imprisonment up to 7 years + fine (or up to 5 years in some assisting cases).

Section 39 – Offence Relating to Support Given to a Terrorist Organisation
Punishment: Significant penalties (often aligned with terrorism-related sections, which can extend to life imprisonment in graver cases under related UAPA provisions).

Real-World Implications: UAPA cases often involve prolonged detention, significant media/public attention, and challenges in getting bail. The process itself is burdensome.

Hope next cases will be filed in spreading religious hatred as well.
